(Is that like an oyster?)Pretty much, except, in my opinion, mussels taste must better.
Then again, I generally eat oysters raw with a little lemon juice & tabasco sauce squirted in the shell. Makes them easier going down.

Boy......I hope these mussels just slide right down and you don't have to actually 'chew'...NOOOOO! They taste WAY too good to just swallow...The flavor is wonderful, especially when the sauce is a bit spicy.
