This thread won't get pulled, unless it degenerates. You all are asking good questions. We don't mind answering them. Also remember, you can freep mail us anytime. Be aware, we don't all have the same mail accounts, so you mail might not be answered immediately. (could be a day or longer) You can freep mail the sidebar moderator or the admin moderator. Also, if you have a question, you can ask using the abuse function, BUT you have to leave your screen name if you expect a reply when using abuse since we do not know who is using abuse. Using abuse is the fastest way.

But then, I'm just a big baby ... me too!!!

There should at least be a user option to be able to see everything at once. And I hate seeing that "this thread has been moved to chat" crap.

As I look at my belly, I realize that I am getting to be a bigger and bigger baby.

Religion is part of politics and culture. I disagree with seperating the forums, but repsect the decision as Jim can do what he wants. Where did you get the idea that Jim is catholic? And frankly, the atheism turns more people off than the religion...I wish the militant materialist dogmatic atheists would shut it too, but don't mind everyone being able to be heard on a main forum like it used to be. I used to spend a lot of time here. I have cut it down considerably because there is no excitement. jmo.

There are no strict rules. That's the tough part of the job, and we ask Jim often, maybe too often, if our decision was a good one. We do our best, and we've made mistakes. Thankfully, most of you are mature enough to realize this. Many times you all will hit abuse and complaine about a call, we'll review it and we will agree with you. Every article is unique, and it would be practically impossible to impose a set of rules that didn't budge. A lot depends on the type of article. The Laci threads are generating a lot of interest, and as long as they stay civil, we don't have a problem with them being in news. Articles such as 'donkey bites penis' or anything Anna or Britany just generate smut type posts will be moved to chat, or if really bad, pulled.

You all are asking good questions. We don't mind answering them.

Here's a question: I posted this article last night and it was moved to chat within minutes. In addition the categories were changed to Pets/Animals.

I Freepmailed the Admin Moderator and JimRob as well as signing a abuse report. It wasn't until Jim responded privately that the article was replaced in the News/Activism forum.

So the question is: Why would a moderator move the article to Chat and change the catergories to Pets/Animals?

I see some threads on topics which really involved both religion and politics left on the News/Activism forum, as they should be. Perhaps some are moved to Religion when they have legitimate political relevance. But the strictly sectarian/proselytizing threads, where people rant and ramble on in various permutations of "you're going to hell and I'm not and here's why" definitely have no place on the main forum (and if it were up to me, they wouldn't have a place anywhere on FR).

I've read on FR threads more than once that JimRob is Catholic, but it could be incorrect info.

Ah yes...the you're "unregenerate and I'm not" threads. Okay..agreed. I hate those too. I am Catholic and have never gotten the impression that Jim was such, but have no knowledge one way or the other.

This is one of the reasons I never donate money to this board. I'm not going to put my money into something that can be taken away just because someone doesn't like my opinion.

I see. You don't donate IN CASE something of yours is pulled?

Let me tell you this (and it's for FREE): nobody cares whether you post here or not.

It's an article about Manatees. Cool animals. (at least it wasn't moved to sports or movies) I suppose (i'm really taking a stab at this too) the mod who moved it saw the article, read some of it and thought it was a pet/animal thread. We don't maliciously move threads. You did right by asking why. Your thread was moved back. Sometimes Jim is the only person moderating, or there is only one moderator on, and can't get to all the abuse reports immediately. We are all volunteers, and work a volunteer schedule. Like I said before we make mistakes, but we try to correct them as soon as possible. Just let us know, as you did.
