Well, if this thread is the one we are trying to get to 900 for Sean, one of my very favorite lines is: "Screw the French!".

Not to critisize, but those bitchy Vichy Frogs like getting screwed. I say "Don't Screw the French, cut them off and frustrate their amphibious hormones."

I enjoy listening to Mr. Hannity and have him on every day after Rush.I do find myself yelling at him occasionally when he is arguing with a caller because he seems to be arguing the wrong point or is or has missed where the caller is coming from. I get mad at him because I do the same things sometimes when I am in face to face vocal discusson with a liberal. I do it much better by e-mail. It is not so easy to backspace and delete verbally.

. I know my limitations. Sean doesn't.

Mr. Hannity does a very good show. We who are so involved with conservative/Christian/rightwing/libertarian thinking hear the anomalies and missed cues- can hear the nits and we pick them automatically. But for those who don't bathe in political awareness every morning, he is persuasive and good to listen to. Even Rush blows it with a caller from time to time.

Will there ever be a better protest chant than "Get out of Dick Cheney's house"?

I have always enjoyed the WH chant. "Bill Clinton, We have you surrounded. Put down the cigar, step away from the intern and come out with your pants up"

One little bump on the way to 900.

Along with Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, he stands apart from the pious, passive, polite and ponderous intellectual conservatives of the past like William F. Buckley who, though admirable, are decimated by the Liberal left fanatics of today who don't play by any rules.

Buckley et al have provided the necessary philosophical weight, the foundation upon which principled conservatism stands. Buckley gave us intellectual heft. While not, perhaps, a philosopher himself, he has been the conduit of philosophy to us. He was the first to survive on broadcast media. One doesn't notice him so much now because the liberals won't argue with him any more. He makes them sound like lightweights.

Thanks for the defense of WFB. We owe him a great debt. Rush, Ann and the whole lot of the current conservative media types cut their teeth on NR. No doubt WFB is better in print than on TV, but without the grounding in conservative thought that WFB, NR (and others) provided, Ann would simply be a hot babe (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

Also, read about the influence of NR in several of the books on RR. Dinesh D'Souza's book "How an Ordinary Man Became an Extraordinary Leader" and the "Ronald Reagan - In His Own Hand" compilation (to name two) give testament to the NR's importance to him.
