Well put. I'd certainly rather be packed nut-to-butt with the dregs of society....
Are you really that dense? Or are you just 17?

"don't you think everyone will wonder if you chose the least populous states for greater effect? I'm sure the answer is yes,"Actually, I could have selected a different combo for a wider coverage/land mass, and included the great state of Alaska in for "EVEN GREATER EFFECT." Instead I focused on the center of our Nation, "The Heartland" partly because I believe they are relativly more conservative/pro-life and it would mean more to them. Post#18 is great, but it has been done before; and I'm looking for new effective ways to illustrate the subject. People have mentioned "my state is in there!" There is a more personal connection with this than rows of letters or symbols.
You are the first person who claims to be pro-life and links this to "propaganda." I wonder why?

YOU ARE ALL R-I-G-H-T!!

No, I'm 6.
Actually I made my flippant comment based on my road travels across the US. You can't tell me that the plain states are as scenically interesting as Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Cali, etc. They are not even in the same league. Sure, maybe the political climate is drastically different, but here in Portland I can drive 45 minutes in any direction and find some of the most incredible landscapes on the planet. Thats kind of hard to do in Kansas.

It's that cursed class. I can't help but look at any poll, study, media report, etcetera without turning on the jaded eye. It has helped me in some ways to be more thorough when making a point.....I certainly didn't intend for it to sound as if I saw your post as propaganda.

I was able to see my son and daughter at 8 weeks in the womb. They both had heartbeats, peanut shaped bodies, the beginnings of arms and legs, heads, eyes, a brain, and a spinal cord.
In short, the heartbeat, brain, and spinal cord indicated a living human being who possessed all the necessary organs to feel the PAIN OF ITS DEATH. Yup, at just 8 weeks.
At 12 weeks (just 3 months - the end of the first trimester), the baby is nearly fully formed, with fingers, toes, lips, eyes, etc., needing only nourishment, oxygen, and time to grow.
My children reacted to light and sound by the 4th month. By the 5th month, I could sing them to sleep.
I hemmoraghed in my 32nd week of my daughter's pregnancy (a full two months before her due date). She was only 4 lbs. 13 oz at birth. She was moved to a different hospital for her critical neo-natal care and did not improve while we were separated.
I demanded that the Doctor release me after only 2 days and immediately went to her side. After each visit, her stats jumped considerably. When I got to hold her, skin against skin, her face against my heart, and rock her for over an hour, singing, cooing, and kissing her the whole time, stroking her lovingly, not caring about anything but the precious blessing in my arms, her recovery was amazing. She went from needing a breathing machine, a feeding tube through her stomach, and multiple IVs to our loving home, free of everything, in just 12 days.
No one can tell me my exquisite daughter didn't know me; I saw the proof of our love with my own eyes. Yet there are people who thinks its okay to kill babies at 32 weeks, to force the mother into labor, stab a pointed instrument through the base of their head, suck out their brains, collapse their skull, and drag their body out for disposal in the garbage.
The only difference between my beloved daughter and those precious victims is that I VALUED her life while their mothers did not.

Yes, the scenery is beautiful. I stood on the beach at Santa Barbara, CA wondering why I didn't just move...This was my conclusion:
The quality of the people and the lives they lead, and the impact they have on the world around them is a of greater importance than visual beauty. I would rather surround myself with people of beautiful character and heart, than surround myself with breathtaking scenery.
Lack of mountains and beaches does not make the central US worthless. Maybe next time you could try to avoid alienating half of the nation simply because our land is not quite as scenic as the rest of the states'.

Should pregnant women over 40 be charged with reckless endangerment? I'd prefer reckless procrastination. Or perhaps reckless optimism. How about reckless fertilization?
No, I don't.

What an absolute MONSTER. I am horrified. I'm astounded that even super liberals would go that far. If they think up to 6 months should be okay, why not extend it to a full year. Heck, why not two? I mean, your kid, your choice, right? MONSTER.
To: Servant of the Nine
Both numbers are trivial in US death statistics. You must be very young or if not then quite jaded to be so callous. With all due respect...I see you here quite a bit and you frequently post heartless comments. Is it a sport to you or are you simply cold?

And it may come to that--and worse.
Who would have believed in 1954 (the year "One Nation-Under God" was added to our Pledge of Allegiance; by a unanimous act of Congress-no less!)--That just 19 short years later we would have government sanctioned abortion through all nine months with 42,000,000+ million reported dead (many more unreported)
"Never, never will we desist till we. . . extinguish every trace of this bloody traffic, of which our posterity, looking back to the history of these enlightened times will scarce believe that it has been suffered to exist so long a disgrace and dishonor to this country"
William Wilberforce: Member of Parliament who led the fight for the abolition of slavery in Great Britain.
If you are not involved--Our Fellow Citizens-waiting to be born, need all the help they can get.

42 million abortions over 30 years comes out to 3,835.6 PER DAY each and every day, 365 days a year. I just don't buy your numbers. Please provide data/source?
I am vehemently opposed to abortion, don't get me wrong.
However, it is just as wrong (and damaging to our credibility) to make up statistics to support our own beliefs, as it is for the pro-death crowd to do so.
We who opose abortion are right. Our cause is just and proper. We do not need to mislead or obfuscate to prove it so.

The numbers are not hard to add up. Go to a stat showing the total abortions for each year, starting with 1973 (app. 500,000 first year recorded post Roe) and add the numbers. It is now more than 42,000,000 and counting, though the yearly totals are dropping for reported abortions. More damning are the stats for partial birth abortions reported in the U.S. over the eight years of clinton's veto power. Chart the rise of the fetal tissue harvesting industry along with the increase in partial birth abortions. The graph is ghastly! [If you didn't know already, PBA was devised to terminate infants from the 13th week until 40th week because extraction abortions were dismembering the unborn and causing difficulty identifying all the parts with the subsequent infections that happen in the woman's body. There is testimony from PBA nurses and doctors now turned pro-life that women have been encouraged to wait a few weeks before presenting for PBA, to get better fetal remains for harvesting and to make the PBA 'procedure' less likely to pull a little one's leg off extracting them for the kill. Less messy when a more firmly developed body is yanked around for the extraction and brain suction.]
