Your words touched me deeply. I've suffered two major financial setbacks in the past year and a half and am still trying to get back on my feet. (Went from having a decent career to running a small thriving business, then to two catastrophic level of financial disasters due to a couple of greedy lying bastard partners.)
So although I've been wanting/meaning to contribute to Jim and his cause that I also believed in, didn't think I could. Well, at least not enough to make any difference, so I haven't.
Until I read your post, my mindset has been that I would make a significant contribution to Jim after I got back on my feet and was embarrassed and too proud to commit to a measly few dollars a month. Your post changed all that and I am going to commit to at least 3 dollars a month but shoot for $10 hoping Jim can buy enough "seeds" for the "grassroots."
Thank you MonroeDNA.

Well, if it's just a personal page, you should consider getting a geocities site temporarily, just to mess around with. And Composer would work great for something like that.

Chong, you are a very honorable person. Your words, and hardship, touch me deeply. I sincerely hope that favorable fortune comes your way, and soon.
Please, $3 a month is more than enough, trust me! I honor you for doing that! There is a list of monthly contributors here, and the amount is not listed. That is for a reason. It is the heart of those that give, that counts.
The most wonderful thing about giving, is that it comes back to you, multiplied. Please feel welcomed at $3 a month, and if and when you see fit, increase it if you want.
You are among friends.

Lots of bad advice on this thread. I've seen several posts that are very inaccurate.
I don't have time to respond to each...but it's important to do some looking around before you make a decision.
For the record:
I'm handling the redirect for Joe Millionaire for Google.

"Illhole". :o)
Sounds like something Magic Johnson came down with a few years ago.......and then he began glorifying it by touting his "wellness"; but that's a whole 'nother thread.

Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.I think all those people check in here to NOT see what we think, but to see what we say about THEM.

FWIW I run a webpage off a linux server that gives me 250MB storage and 25GB transfer a month for only 9$. Plus I have tons of scripts that I picked up online for free.
I would post the link to the site but don't feel like it.

Wow...I am sorry for your loss, and for the people who did this to you. Life pays people back. This I know.
And thank you so much, once again. :)

A great little all in one program is Macromedia Fireworks. You can do all the graphics, add animation, add button rollovers, pull-down menus, etc., and publish as a web page. It writes all the programming code for you.

One thing about websites (and any kind of web content) is that you should host on your own domain.
Otherwise, all your work can disappear overnight should the hosting company you have an account with go out of business or if you are suddenly 'cancelled' for having controversial opinions.
