LOL. My Marine never was very big. He was a tough little knot who whooped up on everyone around. He's always given the impression that he is bigger than he really is. He joined during the Korean conflict and they were needing men badly. So the recruiter let him stand on tip-toe in order to reach the height minimum which was 5'4". Ever since then he tells everyone he's 5'4" LOL. He ain't never seen 5'4". But I'M not going to be the one to tell him. He's mellowed down quite a bit in his old age and since he became a preacher. But the tone of his voice still says, "I'm to be obeyed without argument." He's not into politics, so it's hard for me to convince him that what we are doing is important.

Thanks for your concern Great. LOL. Yeah, I made a covenant when I married him and I take that seriously. I could tell him I was driving to D.C. and he would not stop me because he does let me be me and encourages me....has always made me better than I am. I love the guy, and I know that my taking off like that would cause him a lot of anxiety and unhappiness. That is why I would not go against what I know he feels. He had a heart attack in Nov. and almost died. I'm so thankful to God that I still have him. I could not in good conscience do anything that would upset him. I'm a very independent woman and headstrong to boot, and he is the reason that I am. He showed me how to be my own person. I submit to him out of love and respect, not out of command.
