Thank you for scolding me and then hanging up on me without afffording an opportunity for rebuttal. I am sorry if you feel stung by being on the receiving end of activism aimed at the media, but then again, you chose to work for CNN.

Let's be frank.

You said you had never been so offended by, if I may recall, any situation where you had spoken on the phone to someone. I gleaned that you were referring to my interpretation of our earlier conversation, which was rude in the extreme. It was, in reality, quite unclear. I asked you several times what specifically about my letter offended you, and about all I heard was your outrage that my readers targeted you for their comments because I did not specifically say in my letter that I had not viewed my show before we wrote.

It was all pretty weak, sir.

I wrote that letter because, of all the terrible wretched sold-out basket-cases on your network, I believed you could hear me and those millions I speak for best. Instead, I get peevish phone calls at home, late at night, becuase you maybe didn't feel loved enough.

Speaking of shameless, consider the entity you work for. Never in all of human history has product-whoring reached so technological a height. You think you work for a news bureau? Hah. You're a sales platform, and you know it, and so do I, so accusations of shamelesness cannot even be quantified on the laugh-scale.

Here's the deal, in case you missed it.

This push for war is based upon innuendo and hyperbole, both of which have been amply provided by your network. There are no facts, no data, to justify where we are headed. You seem to think you hover avove it all - I called you on it, and you begged off, saying, "I don't control how the news is reported," etc. How sad.

One of these days, and soon, we are going to have to deal as a nation and as individuals with the outcome of this process. You called me shameless tonight, but on that day I will be able to look at myself in the mirror and know I did the best I could. You, on the other hand, will be facing a mirror-reflected man who aided and abetted crimes beyond measure. I would not want to be in your shoes on that day.

Some of your older Seattle viewers have told me that you used to play yourself as an old-school fighter, truth-seeker, etc. Well, you are now living proof that the past is indeed dusty. Let me introduce you to the new school. It does not tolerate media distortion, half-truths, innuendo or nonsense anymore. There is too much at stake. The planet has become too dangerous for milquetoast former activists with access to a poorly-used microphone.

Dismiss me as you will. I am young, writing every day, with a backing of patriots who have stomached you and your employers for far, far too long. I am not going anywhere. Neither are my readers, or your viewers who happen to read me. Get used to unhappy email, and don't call me anymore when you don't like to reap what you've sown. Two calls in one night is too much.

Like it, lump it, love it, hate it, but there it is, sir. I can appreciate how much you hate to get lumped in with the rest of the shameless mouthpieces at your network, but then again, I remind you what name is on your checks.
