"There are so many issues facing the gay community I dont think a gun club is the answer or is even something that automatically gives us respect," says longtime local gay activist Randy Pesqueira. "I dont think you necessarily project strength with a gun. In a way, you lose something; youre becoming like the fanatics who hate you." Idiot.
Then he paused and continued, "That being said, I absolutely understand where this is coming from. I mean, myself, part of me has always fantasized about gays having this really cool vigilante group that would take care of all of our enemies."
Another Idiot.
"Nobody came to help," he recalls. "I was screaming for help, running around my car with my gun in the air, and no one did anything. I was completely on my own."
Oh my goodness....The visual I have is a tad bizzare :)

Yeah, that must have been quite a scene, running around his car in his pedal pushers and flats, waving his gun and squealing...

No, Mitch isnt gay; hes just a liberal gun enthusiast who hates the conservative politics of the National Rifle Association and believes the Pink Pistols could bring gun rights to a whole new range of peoplenot only to shoot, but also to spread the gospel of gun rights unencumbered by Charlton Hestons cold, dead hands and the mind to match. Like, whatever dude.

There's a stance that will tweak the noses of the liberal left!

What's with the "Pink Pistols" moniker? How come gays can't do anything in life without putting their sexual orientation front and center? Everything has to be "pink" this and "queer" that.

A small sticker stuck to a bulletin board bears the likeness of a crying baby with the motto "Seal of the Democratic Party of the United States" around it. BWAHAHAHAHA! Looks like they're hanging out around here.
It sounds to me like these guys are OK, and they're pushing some hot buttons that the gay movement doesn't want pushed, or at least the liberal, in-your-face, obnoxious ones. Note the disapproval of LAMBDA - these guys are just too...well, too conservative! I mean, it might give the wrong impression, like maybe all gays don't vote for Democrats...
I actually know a couple of members of this group - they shoot at the indoor range I patronize. It may be a small sample, but they're good guys, and I don't see anything, not one GD thing, wrong with them being able to defend themselves. I mean, who would you rather have around, a level-headed guy with a gun or that nutcase ex-Lutheran pastor who wants to chainsaw his political opponents?
Note, too, that the ones who talk about it still maintain fantasies about not being welcome at NRA meetings; the ones who've actually attended sing a different tune. I think what we're seeing here is a few guys who've been lumped in with liberals due to their sexuality realizing that the real world isn't like that. And that's a good thing.

I am sure I do not want to be that happy.

It turns out that how a Pink Pistol is used depends on who is handling it.Come again? No! Wait, I mean, uh...

I can hear it now: "Shazam! I met with some folks from the NRA
and they didn't even try to kill me! Who knew?"
At worst these folks are a little weird. But who cares? They're thinking for themselves and - excuse the expression - questioning statist mythology. I think it's perfectly bully.

Yeah, I like "learn to kill" Gun Club much better!

An article in Freedom First a couple months ago interviewed some of the PP's. One of them said they got far more hate mail from liberals about them being gun owners than they did from conservatives objecting to them being gay. Which tells you who the real hate group is, of those two: the "tolerant" "diverse" group of liberals vs. the "hateful" "intolerant" conservatives. Yet another liberal lie exposed.

Does it seem to anybody else here that this Pink Pitols group is receiving pretty sympathetic treatment from the journalist? If this were a right leaning group they'd be slapped with lots of negative innuendos/gestapo comments. Looks as if even guns are cool if a lib own them.

Agreed, which is why I pinged the bang list, those opposing them seem a tad fanatical as the quote:
"There are so many issues facing the gay community I dont think a gun club is the answer or is even something that automatically gives us respect," says longtime local gay activist Randy Pesqueira. "I dont think you necessarily project strength with a gun. In a way, you lose something; youre becoming like the fanatics who hate you." shows.
Seems like some leftists will never learn.

I agree with your statement. But a few individuals do seem to be waking up, as per this quote:
>>"Claiming always to be victim, making it seem that we need society to protect us, is not working. Im sorry, but Im weak and helpless is not a deterrent to a bully. This," he says, tapping the gun case, "is a deterrent." <<

Q: Do you have a CCW license to kill?
A: I consider it a learner's permit.
