LOL
Yes, I am fine now. Thank you for asking!
To: twigs
Yes, I lived through it......but just barely. :-)
To: crystalk
Well, I haven't gotten there yet! But I truly hope it was not as sinister as it seems and somehow she and baby are safe. I know there is hardly any hope for that.

Is this lake on the route to the fishing spot? Tulloch Lake is not on the way to the Berkeley Marina. Fact is, it's in the exact opposite direction.

Actually, if I were in Scott's shoes, whether he's innocent or not, I would not talk to the media. I used to work in PR and I still don't like dealing with them. And if it were a period of stress, the last thing I'd want to do is appear on camera. I have some suspicions about Scott, but not for that reason.

Please correct me if my facts are not correct, but, I also find it odd that the husband was gone only from 9:30 AM to 4:30 pm, a total of 7 hours, when he drove 1.5 hours each way to go fishing. If you include time to launch the boat, gas it up, get bait, drive to and from his fishing spot, and load the boat back up on his trailer when he returns, his actual fishing time would be in the neighborhood of only 2-3 hours. Now, I'm not a fisherman, but, I find it hard to believe someone would go through all that trouble for such a small amount of time actually fishing.

Is the person who held your friend in custody now?( I hope)
To: Pintobean
Me too.
I hope I'm wrong. But nothing about this looks very good.
I guess it's more probable that this was murder than kidnapping with intent to harvest the baby but what motive for killing , if it wasn't the husband?
Most everyone I know thinks it was a simple murder ( yeesh, that makes my blood run cold) and the baby merely incidental. But what motive?

Walker Reilly called home from his office the night his wife was permanently maimed. Left a cheerful - and specific - message on the answering machine.

The last I heard (about a week ago) she couldn't manage to raise the bail required to be released. I haven't heard anything since.

Who is Walker Reilly? Tried a Google search nothing approp. seemed to come up.
To: Queen Jadis
Maybe I'm misspelling it.
He was a minister here in town whose wife was found nearly dead in their home one night in the 80s. She survived, but is a vegetable. Walker ran off to California after the trial.

He He...yes was a joke...glad you got the humor. I have a sister-in-law who is 8 months pregnant. We all try to be helpful but are looking forward to when she delivers ;)
To: Queen Jadis
Walker Railly. Sorry bout that. I'm not a wonderful typist
To: lews
Hope your friend is okay. What a nightmare.

Thanks, I have just been reading up on this Preacher from hell. Apparently he has remarried whilst his poor ex-wife lives the life of a vegetable. Unbelievable! (Apparently he was aquitted of the crime of murdering his wife.) There is a huge wrongful death claim which was won by the family. However, there is little chance they will ever collect on it scince his last job was as a telemarketer. Aparently back in the day he used to have a fondness for expensive suits and shirts with french cuffs. No doubt useful to attract the attention of a willing mistress which he had at the time of his wifes murder.

hmmmmmmm....Don't let your wife see that post.
