American citizens need to come down on the INS, and government officials who have allowed citizenship to people who have avowed to take over this country. Islam is far, far worse than communism ever was. Islam is the most evil thing that we have ever seen, and it is almost beyond our immaginations.

How does this compare with the actuality of standing in a window, 1,000 feet above the ground, surrounded by a jet fuel fire, deciding whether to jump on not.I agree with you on the general argument, DL, but I should point out something that most people don't know: Most (possibly all, but we'll never really know for sure) of the jumpers did not actually make a conscious decision to do so. What happened was that the fire was finally touching them, or else the heat in the room was reaching temperatures that could burn flesh regardless of whether the flames had made it there yet or not. The human central nervous system has an automatic flight response from extreme heat and burning. Remember how your junior high science teacher always used the example of how quickly your body pulls your hand back when you start to burn yourself handling something hot on the kitchen stove? Your spinal cord sends the signal to yank back the hand before your brain even realizes the burn is occuring. Same thing happened to those poor people trapped on the upper floors. One second they were praying for rescue, the next they found themselves in a hundred-story freefall wondering what the hell happened.

It's debatable, but I still believe it was both unnecessary and unjust.
The issue here is mass deportations of illegals, applicants and possibly "permanent residents", and detentions, not hangings.
You won't find me waving pom-pom's for any illegals, Muslim or otherwise. Deport them regardless of their faith. In the case of citizens however, they and their religion are protected by the constitution. Period.
Has it occurred to you that Muslims here may just be holding back from terrorism until the most advantageous time comes?
I think that's paranoid. Maybe the French are doing the same thing and all their cowardice is merely a diversion.
My guess is that what you see in Israel today is what we will see in our cities here in the future. But they are waiting for the right time. If the terrorism starts now, it will be self-defeating because there aren't enough of them yet.
Do you have any idea the sheer size of the conspiracy you are implying here?
When they are firmly entrenched in our schools, prisons, media, military and positions of authority, they will go for the gusto.
Well then, if you want to stop them you will just have to re-write the constitution.
I don't know what else to say about it.

I began this thread light-heartedly joking about open seasons. I now end it with this comment, the rule of law is what must be followed. Citizens must be protected at all costs. With that said, the govt should return to the open aknowledgement, that the citizen is sovereign, and those visiting are on a short leash, with zero rights and a few benefits. An amendment would be quite simple to pass, if worded right, and at this time.

Yes, I do. Remember the Nazi conspiracy to take over the world? Or the Japanese/Shinto one? Devout Islam intends with all its heart and soul to do the same at ANY cost.
I guess you would have to visualize yourself in the mind of such a zealot to understand. Here ya go: Imagine if Jesus had said in the NT, "No one gets to my Father in Heaven except those who kill the unbelievers in my name." Imagine if the NT He said, "And I tell you verily, that unless you show the unbelievers no mercy, nor shall my Father in heaven show you eternal life". You get the idea. Try it.

I agree completely.
Christians, Muslims and Jews (along with various tree worshipers, Indian spirit types, satanists and a whole host of others, far too numerous to even recall, let along give mention) all co-exist here peacefully because of our law and our Constitution.
I don't know why so many people are so quick to cast it aside, but afaiac it's a huge mistake to do so.

I see your point, and I suppose it would be possible to reduce the conspiracy to just religious leaders.. or that it might exist but not even be a conscious, deliberate thing at this point.
I still don't think it's wise to arbitrarily start tossing people out though.

Its about time Americans woke up to the IDIOCY of calling Islam a "peaceful" religion.
Political correctness can, at times, be suicidal. This is a case where it is.
Islam should be banned from America, all its Mosques closed, all Muslims deported, and no Muslims allowed to enter, travel in or reach America.
Do that, and we will be much safer at much lower price!!

PS: I really think we are just going to have to not agree on this. But just a final note to say that I don't think we disagree on every point- there is quite a bit of overlap, as I see it. I'll think about your points. Au Revoir.

The "price" will be our constitution.
That's too high for me. It's not worth that.

Would you mind telling me how deportation is unconstitutional? Only noncitizens are eligible for deportation. I'd be interested to know what gives non-citizens a constitutional right to stay in this country, especailly when their loyalities are in serious question.

Open season on Muslims in America? Last time I checked Muslims had bagged over 2000 Americans in Manhattan alone. They are way ahead in the score. Apart from a handful of Muslims who have had their feelings hurt, I can't really reall any genuine threat against them in the United States.
The plain truth is, Muslims are safer in the United States than they are in most Muslim countries.

Non-citizens have no right. They can be removed at our leisure.

Do you deny that Muslims are safer in the United States than they are in most Muslim countries--even post-9/11?
To: cynaman
Its my opinon that Muslims living in this country are most unlikely to be law-abiding citizens, because if they are good Muslims, they are looking to kill the infidel and killing is still against the law. There are lots of people in America who probably are "bad Muslims." They came to America and became citizens because they didn't like the idea of "killing the infidels." They came here to escape the dictatorships and barbarian regimes in their former countries. To lump people trying to find a better life with those that do wish to murder Americans is pretty unfair, I think.

No, absolutely not.
We have a dizzying array of religions here that coexist in better harmony (it's a little rocky sometimes, but still) than anywhere else on the planet I can think of.

Correct, illegals can be removed at our leisure.
Mileage varies with others who have permanent residency and so forth.
Is there something I am missing here?
