I wonder what's up with the Telegraph; they seem to be having a lot of articles pertaining to sex lately.

You play, you pay. I don't, so I have nothing to pay. Though my lady wishes a fat bum on every woman I fancied before I met her. ;)

"The husband claimed that he had only helped the woman out with some gardening work,"The "my wife was told about the hoe" defense.

The "my wife was told about the hoe" defense. Or the "I was only handling her melons" defense. Depending upon the type of garden, of course.

I promise! No wisecracks about planting, or spraying the lawn, or anything like that. No!!! hehehehe;)

And if she doesn't find anything, she still gives the bill to her husband!

No wisecracks about planting, or spraying the lawn, or anything like that. Or indeed, about spreading one's seed. ;)

There is a famous case in North Carolina where the "other woman" was sued for breaking up the family and had to pay the aggrieved wife $100,000. But I really like the idea that the little slut has to pay for the PI. That's even better justice!

LOL!
Anyway, I LIKE it! THIS is the kind of thing I'd like to see become law here. Not to mention cheating spouses being forced to pay the attorney's fees for the spouse they cheated on for their divorce proceedings. Nevermind that the person who cheats should have the harder time of it getting the kids. Never been a fan of No-Fault.
Whatever the specifics, there should be plenty of legal penalties (in the form of monetary compensation, like paying P.I. bills and attorneys fees), both for the cheater as well as the person they're cheating with. That, I think, would probably go a long way towards stemming cheating. Doesn't seem so thrilling, anymore, if the wife of the guy you're gonna screw around with can take a bite out of your bank account.

Just from the headline, I knew this case was not in the U.S. Here, EVERYTHING is the man's fault.

At least he didn't explain he was trying to fix her plimbing...
To: Tall_Texan
...or her plumbing...(spellcheck!)

Yeah, this sounds great if the husband is always assumed to be having an affair. What if he is not, and the wife spends thousands from their joint savings to hire a private flat foot? Should the husband be forced to pay this too? It's half his money.
In other words, when does the wife pay if she is the one who is needlessly suspicious or jealous?
To: Tall_Texan
Not so. In most states, adultery has no impact on the divorce.

That's even better justice! Why? I would say the philanderer is much more guilty than the "little slut". The "little slut" made no vows to the wife. The philanderer did. I've always been amazed at the misplaced anger of a spouse finding the other in bed with someone else and shooting the third party, not the spouse.
