Better put your laptop in a steel box when riding this baby. The magnetic fields must be amazing.

Even on a convntional electric transit train there are very large magnetic fields in the area above the power trucks.

I'm under the impression that the magnetic fields are actually of much lower intensity than most people would guess. It's just that they're spread over a relatively large area along the track.
