Agreed, except they're not Europeans.

A very large percentage of them are - among the dozen or so Israelis I know personally, about half are of entirely of Eastern European descent and the other half are of mixed Eastern European/Sabra ancestry. I only know one "full-blooded" Sabra.

And, of course, in their personal behavior, culture, etc. they are European/American in every particular.

So when a US leftist sees a cleanshaven Bibi Netanyahu attending a Mahler symphony in a tailored suit, and speaking in almost unaccented American English he sees "evil white oppressor" and when he sees some Palestinian babbling in demotic Arabic, dressed in an ill-fitting, dirty Castro uniform with a kaffiyeh wrapped around his head and not a hint of personal hygiene, he thinks "righteous, downtrodden victim".
