That is an interesting point, though I don't exactly catch what liberal agenda Barney is aspousing these days.

What about that 11% of voters (on the front page) that oppose the Iraq war, should their money be spent funding the overtly political viewpoint we're sending into Iraq painted on the sides of GBU's and cruise missles?

The government is always going to put its money into things that you may or may not agree with, that doesn't make them wrong. How could it operate if each dollar was limited to apolitical uses? Seems like you'd do better to de-politicize NPR commentary rather than throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

What do you call A&E, History Channel, Discovery Networks, and Bravo? Trailer park TV?

Not everyone has or wants cable or a dish. If you use the free broadcast networks as the yardstick, PBS starts to look pretty good. Especially for kids programming.
