It is a simple answer...

teach reading, writing, arithmetic and geography!

Then in the Second Grade...

that's how I learned, or else!!

Did I mention the Catholic Nuns, no, well I'm sorry, because I learned!!

Now, no Nuns, no teachers, no backbones, no rules and the children are all on drugs and the parents are all on roller skates!!

The attachment of black politicians and civil rights groups to spending resources on symbolism rather than substance is equivalent to Nero's fiddling while Rome burnt.

Black politicians and leaders do not want blacks to be educated, which would lead to independence. They want blacks to depend indefinitely on hand-outs from them.

And black children tell white teachers that you can't teach me because you don't understand me!

I love Walt Williams. He subbed for Rush yesterday.

He related that his teacher set a note to his mother home with him one day. The note said "Walter has ADD ".

Walt said his mother cured him overnight. He added "I didn't need another treatment for 2 weeks" LOL

Education, and public school in particuler is a tool of the left to form the minds of the young people. The preocupation of the left to dominate the education establishment takes away from its effectiveness to perform its main function-education!

They probably don't think that way, but its tough to break out of the plantation mentality.

Maybe the Black leaders don't want Blacks to achieve?

Booker T. Washington said (about a hundred years ago):

"There is (a) class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their (the black people's) wrongs - partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs . . ."

"There is a certain class of race problem-solvers who don't want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out, they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."

A few years ago the National Science Foundation gave DC public schools a major grant. You would think they would have spent it on microscopes or computers. Nope, it went for chauffeurs for their administrators.

What really gets me is that these parents and community leaders just sit there and allow it! They allow the next generation to remain on the government's plantation, the whole time blaming the wrong "enemy". Goebbels would be proud. (let alone Senator Byrd.)

And the general public still question the wisdom of home school.

The lack of education is a conspiracy to manipulate the citizens.

What better way to be able to tell the masses that black is white and no one is educated enough to question the authorities?

A personal note..
My daughter started public school the first year kindergarten was incorporated in the system.
The night before first classes I went to the school for an 'open house'.
I greeted the teacher and told her that my daughter should do well as I had taught her to read ( old fashioned method, phonetics) do simple arithmetic, etc.

I expected the teacher to be pleased at my involvment in my child's education, but nOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

She started raving that I had ruined my daughter's ability to learn to read the 'correct' way.

That was circa 1972.

If I had kids today, they would NOT be in public schools.

Williams and Sowell are the beacons of light in black journalism.

And I don't mean color. The NY Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe and LA Times avoid them like poison.

Journalism in America today is PC... fluff for the stupid... darkness. And the teachers create stupids.

How did a rapist sit in the Whitehouse for 8 years? Answer... stupid voters.

"Walt Williams Short life of ADD"

I happened to be listening to that same show when he related that story, it sure 'rang a bell' with me. I recall in grade school this one student, towered over the Nun but when he got out of line, Sister just had the ruler on his knuckles and complete transformation took place (for the better)....I believe the teacher's of today should concentrate on conveying their knowledge to their students and NOT to look for excuses to avoid teaching basic "Reading.Writing and Arithmetic". Sound old fashioned, well! by golly it is, so let's get back to it.

My wife is in the classroom everyday. She tells me they aren't allowed to touch a child, even in self defense, and believe me, that situation comes up often. She is cursed out regularly.
If I was in a class, well I'd be in jail. One of my few 'hot' buttons is lack of respect of elders.

Aside from deliberately withholding knowledge, 'education' is a industry. These head educators have to think of new methods to teach. After all, if methods were static, why would we need to pay them big bucks ? They are looking out for number one first and foremost.
