Does anyone out there think we don't need a missle defense system now?

Why would anybody want to use a missile to deliver a nuclear device to the USA when all they have to do is smuggle the bombs through our porous borders?

What you don't seem to realized and what China may or may not realize is that China, by it's own fault, is financially tied to the hip (through the factories in China itself) of nearly every single multi-million and multi-billion dollar capitalist company on the planet.

The worst thing North Korea could do to hurt the U.S. and the rest of the world at large would be to point all of it's weapons at and use them against China itself. And if the leaders of China do not realize this, then they are crazier than the North Korean dictator himself.

Phhssttt..that's nothing.

I'm so pumped...I went and tore all the "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law" tags off the pillows.

Yep, I'm liven on the edge from now on.....

WOW this must be a lot more serious than I thought!

As I have said many times, History will be the worst enemy of the legacy of Bill Clinton and the miserable failures he chose to serve in his cabinet. Facts are facts and the failed policies of Bill Clinton and Al Gore will haunt us for many years.

I only hope that we have a "history"...

"4 Tridents"

This might be a bit different than targeting cilivians and terrorism. If this comes to pass I feel that we in the western state of WA would be targeted.

The western side of WA is almost literally a world military power all by its self. Bangor, McChord, PSNS, Lewis, Vagabond, CGAS, Whidbey, NS Everett, Fairchild, Gray. Not to mention all of us normal civilians :-)

to bad for them!

All of the world's money and ours is tied up in China now, you are right. This still does not leave us safe as in our mothers womb as you seem to percieve. China will protect her red self, this is of no concern to anyone.China and Russia did indeed allign publically. Imagine what is not public. The Panama Canal's control is the chief concern.

I never said anyone was safe from NK. All I was stating is that NK could be just as much an enemy to China as it is to the U.S.

I am not the only one that sees the up and coming wars

Who will be our friends or foes may surprise everyone.

Remember the change of politics in Korea just recently and I will never trust Russia or China.

Who needs a warhead? One ton of Depleted Uranium hitting full speed from a suborbital trajectory would be one heck of a bunker buster.

Could be. I see your point. But they both have far too much in common in communisim I would think, to be enemies.

"I only hope that we have a "history"..."

The threat we face today from these third world dictators are nothing compared to what we have faced in the past. Mutual Assured Destruction is still alive and well, and all the rhetoric from N. Korea is nothing comapred to the days when I was a young man practicing taking cover under my school desk with the REAL threat that the Soviet Union represented back then.

If N. korea was to actually launch a WMD against any of it's neighbors or against our troops in the region it would only result in their complete destruction. Our biggest concern should be one of these un-predictable tyrants handing one of these weapons to a terrorist group. This the only way I see Pre-Emptive strikes being carried out.

As long as we never elect another useless PIG like X42, we should be fine
