Actual Senate votes on Civil Rights act of 1964.

Note where Seantor Al Gore Sr. ended up. Pappy was a racist and proud of it.
... and Senator Fulbright, Bill Clinton's lifelong mentor and the person in 1993 he gave the Medal of Freedom to, the nations highest civil award I might add. Looks like Hillary has some racist company in the family and friends category.
Note how many Rs of their meager caucus were yeas.

I heard that Hollings of South Carolina added the confederate flag to the South Carolina flag around 1969 to insult civil rights workers and MLK.

Sigh...It doesn't matter to the liberal news media what politicians say, it only matters how they vote. Kerry can say whatever he wants, because he votes "correctly" on matters of substance. Bill Clinton can molest a few dozen women because he's made abortion free and easy for millions of other ones.

He acknowledged that the depot's demolition could cause controversy in the African-American community, but he defended Clinton's record with regard to African Americans. Maybe you guys can help me out. Other than paying lip service to reparations and affirmative action, just what did Clinton do for blacks? I can't think of anything he did that would be considered targeted towards the black community.

He did absolutely nothing. His hangers-on made it seem as though he did something, but he simply did not.

That's what I thought. I don't get blacks' enfatuation with Clinton. Nor have I ever seen a good explanation of it.
