Walters is an idiot. If he wants information, he should ask someone who KNOWS, not someone who calls pot "a dangerous narcotic" Alcohol is a thousand fold more debilitating, and addictive......and its legal.
To: golder
Smoking dope and subjecting others to aberrant behavior is another matter entirely. Subjecting others to abherrent behavior is another matter whether dope is involved or not. I will support allowing dope as an aggravating factor in sentencing of anyone convicted of a crime while under the influence.

Lies are the mother's milk of socialism.
Real world case-studies(Germany, Russia...take your pick) clearly demonstrate that, in fact, you CAN fool most of the people most of the time.
Socialism...it's not just for foreigners, anymore!
I am amazed that history appears to be absolutely impossible to learn from. ;^)
These lying b*stards should be tarred and feathered.

"Don't treat them like your peers. Treat them like your children." Sounds like excellent advice to me. Of course it's excellent advice. Now please explain how basing that (or any) relationship on lies works? Are most of your relationships based on deception? Do you find yourself growing closer to someone after you've discovered they've been deceiving you?

Lies are the mother's milk of socialism. How else can you sell something that punishes responsibility and rewards its opposite?

Feel free to suggest some we may have missed. "Democrats help the little guy."
Here's one that doesn't really fit your criteria, but it's nearly Christmas, so what the hey...
"The trouble with capitalism is capitalists. The trouble with socialism is socialism."

"Democrats help the little guy."
Funny. And timely, because most of my latest eye-rolling has been provoked by anti-Republicans stating, "I'm a Democrat, because I'm for The People." Pass me a bucket, please.

The portion of this article that makes sense is what I highlighted above. Lying to your children is not the preferred way to build familial trust. The use of drugs is a major issue in our society in this age since drugs degenerate the human brain in subtle ways and not so subtle ways and the open availability acts to corrode culture and families. There is a big difference in maintaining a myth and lying ... the Santa myth as opposed to the lie that cannibis doesn't alter the brain.

I wouldn't try to show how basing a parent/child relationship on lies works because it doesn't. The insidious corrosion of our families and society is the case in point.

Violence can only be concealed by a lie, and the lie can only be maintained by violence. Any man who has once proclaimed violence as his method is inevitably forced to take the lie as his principle.

That man is stacking up a litany of quotes for "The Irony Chronicles".
To: Wolfie
His suggestion: Temper accounts of youthful folly with tales of cultural icons whose deaths were tied to drugs, ranging from '60s figures such as Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix to grunge rockers such as Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.None of them died from marijuana use!
"No generation knows more about the harm drugs can do than baby boomers," Walters said in an interview. "They know the culture, and the body count."They know the difference too, which is why you're looked upon with such ridicule!
When baby boomers were coming of age, marijuana typically was viewed as a relatively harmless narcotic.Guess what Walters...it still is!
More of the same BS from the man. I'm not even going to bother. This whole article and all of his statements are BS!
Keep the man on Mr. President. Proponents of decriminalization and legalization couldn't get a better pitch man than this one. His statements are becoming even more comical than Aslinger!
