My preference would be to pre-screen all travelers. Let the trusted travelers on unhindered unless they give substantive cause to require search. Search EVERYBODY else, but do it respectfully.

While I agree in theory, in reality there is no practical way to prescreen the numbers of people involved - in the year 2000, there were 622 million passengers flying on 8.8 million flights in the US. There is simply no reliable way to pre-screen passengers, and to judge in advance which of them is likely to present a threat once on board a plane - how do you know that the guy who seems perfectly normal today won't snap tomorrow when his wife leaves him?

I think this illustrates that the problem in this country is education. The left has, puposefully, dumnbed down the population to the point that they believe our rights COME FROM government, not GOD. Therefore if daddy government wants to take them away, they can. People must be compliant, if you are going to enslave them.
