For the record, George W. Bush, a republican, did this to the Country. Neither clinton nor any other democrat could have gotten away with it.

The Commerce Clause has been used as the foundation of things such as gun control, etc. Is it not a wonder that the statists love it so.

This kind of treatment of law abiding citizens is the reason the airlines are going bankrupt.

Air travel was a major hassle before 9/11. Who really looks forward to getting on a plane anymore ? People are going out of their way to avoid airports.

A backlash is underway.

BUMP

I'm not much into 'emotions'. My husband would be mortified if I sat in an airport crying. And I'd be mortified if he made a big scene and got arrested. These people are too high strung or something.

And what is the first thing they're going to teach their child? Not to sit up or walk, they're going to teach him how bad a world it is. Give me a break.

"There is a natural aristocracy among men. The grounds of this are virtue and talents... There is also an artificial aristocracy founded on wealth and birth, without either virtue or talents; for with these it would belong to the first class... The artificial aristocracy is a mischievous ingredient in government, and provision should be made to prevent its ascendency."

Have you flown lately? "Security People"? These are people that, by and large couldn't get a job at starbucks.

Night shift at some greasy spoon truck stop would be too good for these morons. Our federal bureaucracy has created another out of control monster. Welcome to the machine!

And rightly so. Too many obstacles to free movement. People that have a choice prefer not to deal with the airports and airlines any more. I'm one of them.

I like free discussion. If it means I'm a pinko, so be it. I think airport security is being compromised by the fact that a lot of the screeners have no practical sense. This spells trouble when the screener is confronted by an individual that has some IQ in the form of a terrorist. This problem is compounded when policies and regulations from homeland security, tailored for everyone, have no IQ either. Witness, grandmothers being frisked, mothers having to drink their own breast milk, and other ridiculous incidents reported in the news.

One day, not too far off, the good people of this country are going to stand up and say they've had enough.

Heh.. what do you think the new terror laws are FOR?
You and me.

Not a good idea, I'd say. It appears from your messages that you do not fly much, if at all. Your leg gun will get you handcuffed instantly. It's a felony

Hmmm...

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Nope, nothing about 'except by airport screeners' or 'except when you fly' in there. Didn't think so.

Consider this sir: What possible value do these "searches" have?

I'll take "Further Condition the American People to behave like docile sheep" For $500, Alex.

There are satanically-inspired weirdos in this world

Many of which are American politicians.

Hon if you think passengers can really stop a terrorist you are in la la land

Well that would require weapons, now wouldn't it?

LBG, If this story is true, the guy should publish the story with NAMES of offenders being PROMINENT!! Allow them to sue him if they figure they can win. If true, this is EVIL at BEST!! And, it WILL continue and grow to include ALL of those who would be delighted to ORDER, "Papers please." Abominable. Peace and love, George.

I pray for the coming Revolution.

Won't be one. Not in 100's of years.

They are breeding it out of us, conditioning us... and then they have all kinds of high tech toys to stop it...

When Americans decide to fight back, and they will, politicians will have no safe place to hide.

:)

That's the unspoken exception, to my earlier post. But it's also exactly what the new laws are for....

This is why all airport security is completely unnecessary. Let nature take its course

Can't do that. It would teach the public that they can control their fate, and make government less necessary.

Government has a vested interest in a docile population.

Gee, what rights do we have to not be asked to take off our shoes? I must've missed that one.

Yep. You did.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
