I have beliefs and standards of modesty. I would feel assaulted and violated if my person was handled in public, especially by someone of the opposite sex. It's obviously in part a cultural thing. The Japanese, for instance, must tolerate constant almost physical contact with strangers, and therefore why should it bother them? But I do not like even hugs from anyone I'm not quite closely related to, and many people share my aversion to physical contact with strangers. I agree a pat-down is nothing to get hysterical about, but why should we be treated like criminals? We must kill the enemy, until we have killed enough of them that we can go back to knitting on airplanes if that's what we want to do.

No, read Nock's book. You are not the state. You may be employed by the state, but there is a difference. The state is not a person, nor the people that work for it. The state is also different than a nation. I love this nation as much as you, however the entity that now controls it is not the one that it was founded with.

Being in the USAF, you are performing one of the very limited true functions of a state -- defense. The state I and others speak of is the one that oversteps its bounds into areas it has no right to be in.

I honestly thank you for your service to this nation -- you have my utmost respect.

On the other hand, TSA Barney Fifes, BATF baby killers, FBI agents who spy on citizens, IRS, DEA, HHS, etc., and all the other manifestations of a state gone amuck are worthy of everyone's contempt. The state that spawns these is the enemy state that I speak of.

9-11 was carried out for theatrics. Airport security was anything but, and they took advantage. I suspect that any future attacks will take place in areas that remain less secure (like yesterday's airports) where they will again take similar advantage. This next time though, they will not be looking for 'headline' effect but raw numbers killed.

Inspecting pregnant womens' breasts will have no effect on these sick b*stards as they will be miles from any airport. As a not-so-frequent-flyer articles such as this do make me 'feel' safer.
