Maybe, but from personl experience (I worked there remember, and was granted access) I can tell you these screeners you're dealing with are nothing but arrogant, self important little vermin with a chip on their sholder.
Watching people come past in suits that cost more than their month's wages.. Don't underestimate their disdain for the flying public.
If it comes down to believeing this guy at face value or any one of the screeners I know personally, I will take this guy's side in a minute.
Remind me to tell you about the delta guy's throwing someone's new HP computer on the pavement sometime..
You may know flying, but I know the airport.

If push came to shove, I would expect there were plenty of witnesses around that could have shed light on the matter. Perhaps that was the real reason the 'victim' did not go that route(?)
Sorry about the brother!

We shouldn't need to pull a Hero Flight rescue of pregnant women from our own airport security.
And mostly the sheep are going to avert their eyes and shuffle on through and ignore it even if they'd done a forced vaginal exam on her right there in queue. After all, they don't want to miss THEIR trips.

Sure.
Maybe we should pick up a G-String for you closet exihibitionists to flaunt during your next airport search..
(joke.. )

I've learned one thing. When you're being hand searched by a female inspector, never ask her if they charge extra for this.

I think they are people with a job. A job where if they miss a weapon, people could die. Even though it is impossible to guarantee they will catch a clever bad guy with a mission, they are tasked to try. self-important? vermin? chip on shoulder? Jeesh... My job isn't that hard.

That screener recieved a sprained wrist and a pink slip. I got a profuse apology from the "security" supervisor.Right.

Have fun. Don't blame me if you use it at the airport, though.

What did he expect would happen in Bush's new America?
To: Jhoffa_
I will certainly be more careful to wear coordinated underwear now at airports... Why double the embarrasment with clashing colors?
To: HairOfTheDog
You're giving them too much credit and diminishing this guy's story.
I am telling you, if you knew of what you speak...

Not a reply to anything in general but I can't help but think that none of this - 9/11, extra security, groping, etc. - none of this would have happened if some yahoo, many years ago, hadn't decided that the second amendment didn't apply to airline travellers.

I got in a little trouble using that at the Miami airport pre-9/11. Luckily, the inspector didn't speak English well, and I talked my way out of it.

Well I guess envy and mistreatment of the well to do does occur. In my opinion, most people who "serve" the public grow disdain for them. Sort of goes with the job. That is why I always thank them for their security checks, I make it a point to smile at them and say thank you. They are just doing their job. I don't see them as "the man" who is working to deprive us of our liberty. People who are just doing their job need a little respect and sympathy. I think if they felt flyers had gratitude for their service and wanted them to be able to do what they are meant to do, they might have a better attitude. Afteer 911 I flew alot and always thanks the crew when leaving, everyone did, frequently I had tears when thanking them and they knew it. They appreciated it in my opinion. It is like everyone bashes cops till one of them comes after a crime is committed against you, then you love the guy.
