Oubai Shahbandar is one of the nation's leading young conservative activists and currently a senior studying philosophy and political science at Arizona State University. He currently holds the proud distinction of being the first and only conservative student activist barred by his respective university from holding or running for any student government office.

I believe that citizens of Arizona and other states that fund these bastions of sedition with TAXPAYER DOLLARS should insist that their elected state and federal representatives demand accountability. We should insist that all government funding should be CUT OFF if diversity of thought, not just skin color, is not tolerated.

While we're at it, we should also demand that military recruitment be allowed on all campuses receiving government funds, with said funding cut off if recruiting drives are interfered with in any way. Make the leftists put their money where their mouth is - maybe then, some of this persistent nonsense will abate.

The university system in this country is in the hands of America's enemies. Time to do away with tenure, and send these blithering Marxists out the door.

This is what we get for socializing education in public universities. As long as tax dollars fund education, educators will owe their fealty to government. The most effective way to secure that power is socialism.

There is no other cure than to help the system deconstruct itself.

Shahbandar leads with his brain instead of his emotions and he gets slapped down by the university. Sad but pretty typical in this country. Reason doesn't rule in the universities and hasn't since the Sixties. Ironic, huh? The one place you'd expect reason to rule is the last place you can expect to find it.

We should contact this guy and make him a FReeper. I've been tracking the crap he's had to go through at the hands of campus leftists and I think he's done well at standing up against them. He's a brave soul.

I have two huge questions:

Oubai Shahbandar is very articulate, if he wrote this entirely on his own, and seems very bright. If he "is one of the nation's leading young conservative activists and currently a senior studying philosophy and political science at Arizona State University," why in the world is he still a Muslim. The Muslim religion, even in its mildest form, is repressive, anti-intellectual, and filled with absolute absurdities. There is something essentially wrong with the psychology of anyone that can embrace that superstition.

My second question is, why does he stay at Arizona State University?

Now, I'll tell you why he is still a Muslim. For a Muslim to leave Islam brings an automatic death sentence. If Oubai Shahbandar thinks he is being repressed now, and he is, let him try renouncing his religion publicly. On the other hand, if he doesn't renounce it, has "conservative" pose, however sincere, is unconvincing.

He needs to read this: How the West Was Won and How It Will Be Lost . And so does everyone else, because we are being taken in by these so-called Muslim conservatives.

I found this on the Campus Republican site. It's a letter from the editor. I am not sure, but is this a letter from Kabbany @ FrontPageMag.com?

Republicans4Freedom

Oubai Shahbandar, An American Hero

Oubai Shahbandar, a Syrian born American, is a junior at Arizona State University majoring in Biology as a pre-med student. Oubai has never been one to stand by and let events of the world around him progress unchallenged. Currently, Oubai is serving the student body and his college as a Senator; he is also a highly senior senator serving on past executive-committees and as Chairman of the Finance Committee. Shahbandar also takes an active role as a student activist, acting as ASU's representative to the Arizona Students Association (ASA). He is also the current President of the ASU College Republicans.

Oubai and his supporters continually coordinate activites to promote awareness on campus. Recent events include bringing David Horowitz to campus, posting and distributing literature around campus weekly, holding activites such as passing out American Flags to students, and guaranteed appearances at every campus demonstration to voice our views, like at the upcoming "World Unity Day," whose creators refused to change to title to "American Unity Day." Every step of the way brings opposition, however: at the flag distribution where the College Republicans were also playing patriotic music from loudspeaker, campus police were called to remove Shahbandar et al. from the library lawn despite accurate permits. The flag was taken down from its prominent display -- all in the name of quelling American patriotism and promoting less hostility to foreign students.

ASU has recently been hit by a large amount of negative press, due, in no small part, to one Arab student who claimed to have been beated by white men who shouted "die, Muslim, die." This student has since confessed to fabricating the story. A response by Pres. Oubai Shahbandar sent to the campus newspaper was not printed by staff. There is a silent outrage that ASU and police have thus far chosen a path of no action in respect to a reprimand of this lying student who deserves the repercussions of committing a hate crime against those he framed and inciting fear in those around him. See the letter to the editor.
