The obvious plan is this:

1. Proclaim Lott is racist
a. wait and see if Lott acts typical

2. Proceed with making Lott look guilty and offer acceptance of apology as long as he tries to "heal" those wrongs.

3. Publically accept Lotts apologies and move on with the reverse racist agenda with Lotts gnads in hand.

My best political assessment is that: He's not leaving the Senate, just allow a vote to his friends in the Senate that he's smeared with his latest dirty-turd. I really feel strongly about this - he's wacky as a single winged loon, but not suicidal.

If he does (leave and let a RAT in), he can't go back to Mississippi; not after what he did to them (Mississippians - and us) on BET the other night.

Besides, he said he won't and he has a contract with the fine people of MS that elected him which doesn't expire until '06.

If he hands the Majority to the RATS, he might as well jump off a bridge next...

I can't help but notice you keep saying "Lott supporters".

Since I'm probably on that short list, let me explain what a "Lott supporter" means to me:

Lott is a Republican with a 93 ACU rating; - Lott is not responsible for Clinton's spin resonating with the American people during a period of (perceived) economic boom; - Lott has carried Bush's water for two years; Lott made a mistake of the mouth, not of the heart; - Lott is not a racist; and ---

I do not believe in "borking" a Republican, I do not believe in branding anyone a racist, I do not believe anger over Clinton's survival should put our majority in the Senate at risk; and...

I am disappointed and angry that we have now put the voting record of every Republican lawmaker up for grabs by the lowest bidding "race pimp".
