If the US even spoke of using force against the black governments of Zim or SA we would be totally isolated internationally and the left would go nuts within.

And when the people of Zim throw a giant party upon being liberated, the rest of the world will have to admit it was wrong. The same way the anti-war pukes had to shut up after the people in Afghanistan celebrated.

They didn't resist because they didn't have weapons--they were thoroughly disarmed. Mugabe and Annan saw to that, they are both war criminals for taking away the civilians' only ability to defend themselves.

We don't need to accept refugees when things are going right, there will be fewer refugees if we fix the situation in Zim.

We would gain a permanent friend in southern Africa (moreso than Afghanistan is our friend, because the Zimbabweans share many of our values).

It would be obscene to knock Mexico over, that is a fellow democracy and is not engaged in the kind of mass murder and genocide that Mugabe is carrying out. Crimes against humanity on a massive scale justify intervention on a moral level. There is no moral equivalence between the regime in Mexico and the Regime in Zimbabwe.

Only solution: stay away, let them dissolve, let the UN and commonwealth attempt to deal with it, and face up to those things that directly affect us.

If we choose not to act even though we are easily capable of it, then we are complicit in the crime.

Disgusting. There is a special place in hell for Mugabe and his henchmen. May they suffer for eternity.

On another note, so where is PETA on this??

No, it's doubtful people 20,000 years ago were this stupid. This is like something out of Kafka.

What makes you think that whoever replaced Mugabe would not, sooner or later, turn into a tyrannical thug?
