Senator Lott's apology was disingenuous...When did David Horowitz become psychic??
Funny how Horowitz, himself a rabid target of censorship, is now ready to punk down and cave in to the mob when it's someone else on the hot seat.
If the pragmatic Freepers out there need to wave the white flag (no pun intened) to Maxine Waters, Jesse Jackson, and the rest of the RAT Race-Baiters and PC Thought Police, you will only be emboldening and encouraging this Frankenstein monster to further unjustifiable initimidation...
And that is exactly how this will all go down.

By all the clamour you would think Lott committed a RAPE or a MURDER. But of course those two crimes pale in comparison to saying we all would be better off if the OLD MAN had become President. A case of PC gone completely and totally insane.

Do the Dems actually know what they are doing? We might actually get an effective leader out of this.

Whether he resigns his post as majority leader or not is a moot point. The republicans should vote in a NEW majority leader. It's going to be the only way to remove the taint his stupidity has painted all over the entire party.
I don't think Lott is a closet racist, I merely think he's stupid and his unthinking remark has caused the GOP a lot of problems and set us back years. All our had work, trying to prove that we are NOT racists was wiped out in a few seconds by a man who doesn't think before he speaks. That's not what we want in a majority leader.
I think he should be replaced. Period.

I can only wish that the Pubbies in the Senate elect someone other than Lott as majority leader. Imho, he has no spine.
Having said that, the hypocritical democRATs can go pound sand.

I'm still of the opinion this is wrong, wrong, wrong! The liberals/Democrats did it to Bork, they did it the Thomas, they did it to Newt, they did it to so many, it is impossible to name them all. I think it's about time to tell them to shut-up and clean their own house.

This whole flap is about Republican Senators gonads.
Whos got them, who doesn't....
The whole pubbie Senate should give a news conference vet this silly flap AND GO ON THE ATTACK....
Like Sen. Byrd is still a KKK, Eh!.... make the demos look like the party with NO ideas like they are. Capitalize on the opportunity at hand. Bowing to cheap shots like this will only embolden them UNLESS this shot costs them something.. American people appreciate balls.
CLUE: Enlist Ann Coulters advise and expertise. Along with Alan Keys... between the two of them, skipping rocks into this pack of dogs, the demos would be acting like puppies again.

David Horowitz is a screwball.
But, I agree with him that Lott must go.
Sure, I wish it wasn't for the reasons stated ... but Lott must go because he's an ineffective leader.

REPUBLICAN SENATE MAJORITY LEADER:
RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IS OK

Has Party BackingI hope everybody likes that soundbite. Because we can "explain" till we're blue in the face, but if we keep defending Lott, we're gonna be hearing it for a lonnnnnnnnnng time.
I say it's not worth losing the whole Republican agenda over him, no matter what other high-minded motives we might have.

Like David Horowitz and agree with him on alot of things but.....I think that he is wrong on this subject. It is time for the Republicans to show some backbone and stand beside Lott. He spoke before he thought but we have all done this at one time or another. He has apologized and that should be the end of subject. This has blown all out of proportion, take your pick of reasons, slow news week, P.C., democrats lost control of Senate, can't attack Bush, (too popular) media loves a scandal or many other reasons. Take your pick.

How very typical that the same Republicans who perpetuate the ruse that Republicans are the conservative party should duck for cover when a real conservative emerges from their ranks!
