This is just an example of what the current thinking is out there in liberal la-la land.I take issue with your use of the word "thinking".

Gosh, sounds like you think there should be a dept of civilian marksmenship. What a novel concept!

Putting libertarian black-helicopter-conspiracy theories in their aristocratic, plantation-owning [DELETED] mouths, or assuming that they wanted the American people to have the capability of overthrowing the government that they had spent a long, hot summer putting together, borders on the ludicrous Not much of a scholar of the founders, is he?

What a self-important moron. The more these cry babies whine, the more infantile they appear. This is just another example of the arrogant ignorance of the left.

Good work on your letter. I tend to just get frustrated and throw things at people like this. You were non-offensive and gave a thinking person a few things they could latch onto, even if they don't like guns.

The militia act of 1792 defines the militia as all men between the ages of 17 and 45 who did not object for reasons of conscience.Does that mean that when I turned 46 I should have turned in my gear?

Does that mean that when I turned 46 I should have turned in my gear? No. The age limit is for the purpose of calling us into service.

Does that mean that when I turned 46 I should have turned in my gear? No, you get to sit in a chair and direct the crew served weaponry.

MileHi
To: Travis McGee
Now the fedgov only wants "a few public officials" (FBI, BATF etc) to be armed with "militia weapons" as defined in Miller 1939. Yep. This is the total opposite of what the Bill of Rights states, as your quote by Mason illustrates.
What we have here are two sides with "irreconcilable differences", and it is simply a matter of time before things come to a head.

In a nutshell, your reply is the plot of my novel.
