From the article:
"The story also said the Canadians would join 20-40 Americans and some antiwar protesters from Britain, who have also gone to Baghdad to serve as human shields. The main sponsor of the antiwar protest is Voices in the Wilderness, a U.S. group based in Chicago."
This story has nothing to do with Canada and everything to do with the activist left. IMHO, anyone who wants to boycott Canada over this needs to take a remedial course in reading comprehension.
That said, I hope all these activists have taken a supply of clean underwear. They're going to need it.

Every day thousands of Iraqis are imprisoned, tortured, terrorized and killed at the hands of Saddam's thugs. Yet these dolts only concern is for some theoretical future casualies of our war to liberate the Iraqi people from decades of systematic terror, and save the world from a future terrorist attack that would make 9/11 look like a picnic.
The left cares nothing for the poor oppressed people they blather about except in as far as they can be used to criticize the USA.

You know if Gore was the president, these liberals would be doing handstands and jumping up and down about how deposing Hussein was the moral thing to do. Hypocrisy is one of the guiding credos to libs. When Clinton was sending troops to Kosovo and Somalia and bombing Serbia, the objections to that from the libs was practically nonexistent. Deep down libs know that Hussein's right to existence on earth has long been cancelled. They know he's an evil man who is extremely dangerous to the stability and safety of not only the Mideast but also, through his support of terrorists, the world.

Hypocrisy is one of the guiding credos to libs. True enough. The lefties were going bonkers a couple weeks ago about how frying an SUV full of Al Qadea in Yemen was setting a precedent for assisnations overseas. Aside from the fact that it was war and not assasination of a political leader, they never said anything when the Clinton admin ordered the killing of the top several dozen of Adid's clan leaders in Somolia with a barrage of Tow missiles. They could much more legitimately be called political leaders than any Al Qaeda, and they never attacked America.
In any case if Algore was president we wouldn't be talking about Iraq because Special Envoy George Mitchell would be making his 42nd trip to Pakistan to negotiate with the Taliban to extradite OBL.
