I assume youre approaching this from a political perspective.
As h.a. cherev pointed out, many of the Jews you refer to dont think of themselves that way. Though the Jewish poplulation is usually estimated at about 2.2%, more detailed surveys, when asking the question "What's your religion" get about a 1.3% rate of Jewish responses. Further inquiry is done from there.
Is fanatical Islam an enemy, sure, but its Americas enemy too, and they hate Christians too, so theyre an enemy from several perspectives. No political traction there.
The idea of the Anti Semitic left, that anti-Semitism could rise here and be a threat to Jews, its just not credible today.
America has been the most friendly nation in history for Jews (to whomever that bothers: I have little interest in debating footnotes in history about that). I dont think the threat of anti-Semitism in America resonates with many, if any. As a cultural risk, it doesn't with me. Im not disagreeing with you, but the lefts antiAntisemitism, anti-Israel is probably more accurate, is more subtle, far more media friendly. White supremacists, ala David Duke who weve already covered on the thread, often wrap themselves in the mantle of Amerika First conservatism, with a big dose of Christianity, and the media loves it. It takes time for people to recognize the subtleties.

h.a. cherev, just a ping as I was responding to your question.
Is it that you believe anyone who makes a mistake is pure evil or only those that make a mistake on this question? If the latter, why do you believe that it is on this question alone that making innocent mistakes is impossible?
Have a nice life.
I understand your concerns. But what can you do about it? If you allow the attitudes of these people to "bother" you without coming up with a solution you can live with, to what end is your concern?
Many Jews in Germany thought that they would be sparred by becoming "good Germans".
True. However, I don't think these people necessarily think that they are becoming "good Americans". Rather it appears they have redefined what it means to be a "good Jew" according to their own ideas....and they hope that the rest of the world will give them credit for it.
I don?t think the threat of anti-Semitism in America resonates with many, if any. As a cultural risk, it doesn't with me.
If you mean that the overwhelming majority are not anti-Semitic and would not respond to anti-Semitic accusations or violence, I agree with you.
Good.
The comment is directed at readers of the thread and not to those who responded to my questions with personal attacks.
I am curious as to why you directed this post at me since I did not attack you personally. I answered you seriously and you responded with flippancy. That is not an attack, merely an assessment of your response.
If you look carefully at the comments made by myself and the others, I believe that you will come to the realization that ALL of the hate, all of the attacks, all of the vitriol comes from those who attacked me for asking questions that they obviously do not want discussed.
This is simply wrong. Obviously, some people feel that some of the hate and vitriol came from you. I attempted to discuss the issue seriously and you, possibly realizing that you now had to deal with someone who was taking you seriously, resorted to flippancy. I will discuss the issue any time you want as long as you are willing to realize some rather unpleasant facets of your personality.
To those of you who attacked me, and tried to label me and insinuate that I am something that I am not.........
Those who attacked you may have realized something and labeled you something that you indeed are, but may not realize it or want to admit it. The fact that you refused to deal seriously with my attempt to discuss the issue you raised, gives every indication that those who attacked you are correct in their assessment.
May God Bless you, and keep you, and may you live long and healthy lives.
I will take this blessing with the same attitude I took your flippant remark.
Goodbye.
I am not here very often. But I will look for you. Should you choose not to respond when someone takes you seriously again, you will have only yourself to blame.
