OH I get it, you think it would be "wise" for us to alienate an entire religious faction. (Good one!! Next step abolish free speech!)

Lets not look at the different "factions" of a religion, like extremist Christians who kill abortionist, or any "extremist" period. Lets not judge rather they are extremist or not, right? If thats how you feel, then why do we allow any Christians to practice their faith who think no one else has the right to their belief? Why do we allow Jews to practice their faith? If they believe other than us, they are all fanatics right?

Do you feel this country was founded upon the basic premise of religious freedom for all? Or do you feel our forefathers thought Islam was a religion that was forbidden in this country? That only Christianity was allowed?

Thats smart.. real smart. </sarcasm

Look, I think there is an EXTREMELY dangerous precedence being set by RADICAL Islamists and we need to FIGHT IT with all OUR MIGHT. But I also think there are people who believe in Islam, who do NOT believe in the Wahabbi form of Islam. Who believe in peace first!! Not this extremist form of Islam. The problem is ( and I do study different religions) is that the "normal" Muslim cannot speak out against the radicals simply because they "are" Muslims.

That needs to change.. for the sake of their religion, for the sake of Islam, that needs to change.

Unfortunately, the radical factions have been at work for quite some time. (Since the early 90's, if not the late 80's) starting long ago in Malaysia.

We are wise to be "on to them".. but we are also "wise" to not stereotype an entire faith.

The numbers of "radical" Islamists have grown,..and I happen to think we are dealing with that in an intelligent way, now that President Bush is at the helm.

It was the years of "knowing" and "ignoring" that has allowed the disease of "EXTREMISM" to grow the way it has. But it is the EPITOMY of ignorance to suggest that ALL Islamist are EXTREMIST.

Ping me when a group of "Christian extremists" slam two jets into a skyscraper, aided and abetted by Christian Churches, while plotting and planning the destruction of America, and then your absurd analogy may hold water.

Your comprehension skills are lacking. No one has said that EXTREMIST ISLAM is a good thing, nor does anyone support them in any way, shape or form. From all I've ever written, and all I've ever read, they are despised and hated. The problem lay in them becoming so large in the first place. They were left to grow "unchecked". We are all suffering for it. The WORLD will suffer for it.

But to stereotype all Muslims into the same mold is not going to help anyone.

If we take a stand against all "Muslim" nations, we will invoke a kind of terror you don't even want to imagine.

We happen to feel that President Bush is quite appropriate in how he is handling all this. It would be wise, if others tried to understand the larger picture also.

We stand strong against "radical" elements of the Muslim faith. We speak out against them constantly.

We've lost family and friends who served so that even Muslims could practice their faith in America. The "LINE" is when they are extremist..

No one said that Christian Abortionist murderers killed the same amount of Abortionist. You missed the point entirely.

Hate is hate. Paint it with any brush you want. Murder is murder.

The point is, we would no sooner assume that all Christians are willing to murder Abortionists, than we think "all" Muslims are willing to murder non violent Muslims, or Christains or Jews, or anyone else they consider an infidel.

There are HUGE factions of Wahabbi Muslims/Extremist Muslims. They have spread like cancer throughout the world.

But it won't serve any of us well to try to abolish all Muslims. Sadly, you don't seem to comprehend that point.

We will have to disagree on stereotyping all Muslims.

There are Muslims/Islamists who believe that Islam is a faith of peace. Who feel that MURDERING innocent people is a sin against Allah.

Things in this world aren't quite as simplistic as you would suggest.

Thankfully, we have extremely intelligent people running this country now, that are doing what is necessary to restore our security. It won't be done overnight.. but it wasn't destroyed overnight.

FRegards, Vets

"They [Islam] were left to grow "unchecked". We are all suffering for it. The WORLD will suffer for it."

"WILL"?? Ask those Christians today in the Sudan. Or ANY one attempting to practice Christianity anywhere where the "cancer" Moslem has infested.

"Hate is hate. Paint it with any brush you want. Murder is murder."

And vigilance is vigilance. As history has proven, the world isn't ever going to be singing 'Kumbaya' with any Islam sect. Even "moderates."

"The point is, we would no sooner assume that all Christians are willing to murder Abortionists, than we think "all" Muslims are willing to murder non violent Muslims, or Christians or Jews, or anyone else they consider an infidel."

Even this is a false premise -- any so-called Christian/Abortionist analogy is nothing but anti-Christian media-hyped propaganda. The ratio of "incident" is absurdly miniscule. OTOH, Islam's ratio of "incident" is overwhelmingly odds-on. And really, THE point is, ISLAM IS CAPABLE OF ANYTHING.

"But it won't serve any of us well to try to abolish all Muslims. Sadly, you don't seem to comprehend that point."

What do you suggest? That we screen all Moslems in America and ask which sect they belong to? It is up to these so-called "peace" loving Moslems to strongly and uncompromisingly lash out against their own brethren at the least. If they don't, their indifference will indeed be noted.

BTW, IMO, we should abolish ALL immigration from ALL Moslem countries. Their lack allegiance to America (of this they freely admit) is more than enough reason to do so. Unfortunately, it seems we are stuck with far too many which have already "nested" here.

"Karamah educates people about Islam and advocates Muslim women's rights."

To be taken seriously, they should educate folks about honor killings.
