Hrm.. Indeed I mentioned the movie ("Bowling For Columbine") to my father and rattled off some of the supposed statistics. However, I also stated forthright that a lot of the film was filled with political left-wing crap. Admittedly, it was somewhat interesting, mainly because of the sampled footage I had not yet seen. Regardless, for the most part, it was pretty darn boring. I left the theatre feeling that it was WAY too long and drawn out - and, quite honestly, I was pretty disgusted with some of the political views expressed in the movie. (Additionally, some of the stunts pulled, i.e. "returning bullets to k-mart" were absolutely ridiculous.)

I really didn't know whether to believe the statistical facts or not, though I could see it being possible... Living in Memphis especially, considering the statistics here - which are mainly comprised of crimes committed by what is overall a minority race. (However, in Memphis it actually makes up the majority.)

Anyway... I'm definitely open to viewing any opinions you have regarding the film itself as well as any facts/statistics you'd like to offer...
