Speaking of China. I happened on a report about China on CNBC (I think) a couple of nights ago. It was a really good report. I actually would love to go to China. They are going to be the next world's largest economy. They are going gang busters.

I do believe I hear the Captain's laughter from his mountain in Colorado and you from West Virginia, mingling with mine here..:))
We 'sexagenenarians' at least know how to laugh!!

Of course this is my last year as a sexagenarian. Do you suppose I can still laugh when I'm a septagenarian? I think I will if ofMagog is still around. He cracks me up with his off the wall wit.

Awwww....I love the angel. I did have a good day. My family took me out to dinner this evening. A friend sent flowers, and I got cards and gifts. Best of all are all the good wishes from my Finest Friends. Thank you.

I'm another who lurked in '97 and registered in April '98.
I saw the one about the China economy, too.
I have a scary thought for you.
With virtually all our manufacturing done 'overseas - around the world' - now, in a big war, we could not even clothe our military, much less the civilian population.
We depend upon 'others' to ship us those and shoes and caps and all the trinkets we 'need' in our homes.
I fear those who were born after 'our' war - WWII - cannot understand the terrible disadvantages we have created with our demands for more-cheaper - NOW.

I wanted to play this song for you all before I go to bed. Lodwick found this wav site yesterday and it has some of the sweetest songs.

Yes, but you also recall how quickly America retooled to manufacture the armaments needed for the war. Remember Rosie the Rivitor? Americans have the "can do" spirit when the chips are down.

The graphic is lovely. I'll bet your house is filled with beautiful music all through the holidays. I forget to turn on the CD player but do listen a lot in the car. And of course, when I FReep on the Finest I enjoy your music so very much.
Good night Aqua.

Is Logan's B'day today too? Yep. Just wished the birthday boy good night.
Did you manage to "wear" your birthday cake like he did?
When he got enough of the cake and frosting all over his hands, he decided to give it to Poppy. I thank him for each handful. :)
Happy Birthday again, dear lady.
