Could it be?The monument looks purpose built for easy acess by large road transport.Interesting theory. When in doubt - blow it up.

Could it be?The monument looks purpose built for easy acess by large road transport. FWIW, my first thought was "cyclotron".

Sheikh Ahmad Yassin looks like he's on something other than Allah. He also appears in the LORD OF THE RINGS movie.

Does the U.N. really expect that we will fall in behind their "findings"?

I share your lack of confidence in the UNspectors.
See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil will Discover No Evil.
Next year we will spend $50 billion removing Saddam's portraits--or perhaps merely the buildings displaying same.
Our special forces will seize Saddam and all his doubles for the on-stage extravaganza at the new USO headquarters in the current UN complex in NYC.
After evicting the current occupants and fumigating the diplovermin, the chorus line of Saddamettes will perform a dance number to the accompanying small arms fire of the audience.
Baddabing, baddabang, baddaboom
Saddam has left the room.

pictures Saddam has of himself plastered all over the place. Saddam loves himself very much. Although I concur that Saddam is enamored with himself, you can also bet that this is a not-so-subtle visual reminder that Saddam is always watching. This seems to be a recurring theme in dictatorships.
