My personal opinion is that it is a Rat plot.

Do I trust the Saudis? Heck, I don't trust anyone from that part of the world. On the other hand, I do not think they would be this ham-handed, and the leaks, and the Rat senators making a big deal out of it, have led me to think perhaps we should be a little patient and see how this develops.

Sometimes we have to hold our nose and use people until we find a way to kick them to the curb without it costing us too much.

The House of Saud has supported Madrases that teach blatant anti-western, anti-American crap for at least 40 years now, and we continue to kiss their ass. No one would like to see us "kick them to the curb" more than I would, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Ever heard of Good Cop and Bad Cop? Bush is very skilled at playing this game! Let's withhold our judgment until this game plays out!

I agree with you. The timing of this story is very suspicious. Watching the gun-grabbing socialist Senator Schumer on the tube tonight all of a sudden speak out about how soft we are on the Saudis was the kicker.

I'm willing to do that, but my expectations are low (as far as dealing with the Saudis is concerned). My expectations concerning Iraq, Iran, Syria, and No. Korea remain very high, however.

A first step might be drilling in ANWR.
If we don't lower our dependance on mid-east oil...I predict bad times no matter how things go with the Saudis.

No doubt. ...And cutting some deals to get at some of Russia's Caspian Sea oil. Perhaps we're doing that right now.

CARVILLE: Look, let me tell you. You know why conservatives love the Saudi government? Because it stands for everything they do. It oppresses women, it forces religion down people's throat, and it loves money above everything else. Those are the three fundamentals of conservatism.

This is about as far as you need to look to find the source of this garbage...Carville the snake. People forget that he is still firmly in control of the RAT spin machine. It may not be as potent or effective as when it was run out of the White House sub-basement, but it is still just as evil and insidious.

I have no love or sympathy for the corrupt House of Saud, but they are not a clear and present danger to our country...Al Qaeda and Iraq are.

One thing at a time. The destruction of Saddam and the Baathist regime in Bahgdad can be followed by freedom in Iran (if the Iranian people themselves haven't done that job themselves by then), and the reform of the Saudi Arabian government, amongst other things. But right now is not the time to destabilize the Arabian Peninsula...that simply plays into the hands of Bin Laden, Hussein, and Carville...and yes, I lump them all together purposely.

By the way, I hope everyone notices that Zogby agreed totally with the Carville statement I excerpted above...and remembers that he agrees with that slanderous description of Republicans.

... the Russians are definitely not losing any sleep over the recent increase in U.S.-Saudi tensions.

Listen up you underage-boy buggering, religion of pig-filth Saudis:

The gig is up. The world is on to you and your particular brand of Satan worship.

You're in a Holy War of your own choosing and you're going to die.

Good Christians and Good Jews will soon send you and yours to a slow roast in Hell.

"... the Russians are definitely not losing any sleep over the recent increase in U.S.-Saudi tensions."

You got it wrong. It's the ChiComs who are not losing any sleep over it, not the Russians. The Russians are on America's side when fighting islamic terrorism because they have been, and are currently being affected by it.

Russia is America's friend.

I think you got me wrong. My point wasn't that the Russians are happy about the Islamic terrorism aspect of tensions with the Saudis...but the prospect of them ( Russia) gaining an increasing share of the US oil market.
