Well, these early visitors knew what part of the Oregon coast to visit and settle into. This is the Banana Belt of the Oregon coast with moderate winters. Great fish to eat from the Rogue to the Smith River just below the Oregon/Kali land.
Researchers have found traces of a human presence on the Oregon coast dating to more than 10,000 years ago, raising the area's importance for those who study the peopling of the Americas.
The findings at the Indian Sands site in Boardman State Park are more than 2,000 years older than previous discoveries along the Oregon coast. The site, about 12 miles north of Brookings, was excavated in August by a team of researchers from Oregon State University.

The vast scale brutality, mass murder, disembowling, etc, ad nauseum in Algeria by al-Queda is beyond belief. The most vulnerable population of women and children are tortured and butchered in unspeakable manner by the tens of thousands, never reported by the lame stream media so intent on showing Islam as a Religion of Peace.
My jaw drops whenever I stumble across the description of an al-Queda terrorist raid in Algeria.

No one's really brought up anything addressing the possible significance or lack, thereof, concerning the date when justice was served, Sept. 12.
Any thoughts, folks?
To: Freemeorkillme
Thanks for bringing that up re the date of September 12th.
Due to the Date line would that have been September the 11th in NYC/America?

Another one bites the sand!
To: Grampa Dave
I have to admit that was my first reaction when seeing the date.

Good Riddance!(And when UBL is ready to come out from under a skirt, I'd like to invite him to my house so he can find out what it's like to be shot by a girl.)

Every time I turn around, they have arrested or killed a "top al_Quida" leader. That was (is?) a very top heavy organization.

That's not true at all. The Algerian military refused to concede power to the Islamists when they won an election that would have sealed Algeria's fate. They've been fighting this war for 10 years or so.
Whatever we think of Islam or Muslim countries, there ARE some people who don't approve of jihadists. We should embrace them.

I was wondering who had done the research and compiled the original list.
Thanks, Angelus. Great job!

That's because bin Laden was originally a business major and he understood the need to not only have capable people as lieutenants, but also their immediate subordinates. That way if any one individual is captured or killed, their subordinates just rise through the ranks as though nothing had occurred.
For example, after Abu Zubaydah was captured, the Shura Majlis selected Abu Musab Zarqawi to head up global operations for the terrorist organization and one of Zarqawi's subordinates was presumably promoted to oversee Southeast Asian operations.
The hierarchy of the network is even further complicated by the fact that in order to possess even greater redundancy, bin Laden ordered the affiliate groups to establish their command and control structure independent of the central apparatus.
