Where were you sleeping for several years in the late 1990's when NATO went into the late Yugoslavia? What does that have to do with Bush bringing NATO into support of his campaign against Iraq?
Milosevic killed a quarter of a million people. NATO was the vehicle to rid Yugoslavia of that menace, and it looks like the old cretin will simply die before he ever gets his due.
But, that has nothing to do with what Bush is doing. Nothing.

No, the Bush Doctrine is real and is prevailing. How many presidents have their name associated with something good? What are the odds that George W. Bush will earn that distinction?

I'll grant you Massachusetts--but I think you gotta give me Missouri . . . Weelll, a half point.

My family stepped off the boat onto the Rock, and if you think that makes me more of an American than some Guatamalan who swore the oath last week, you don't have a clue what this country is all about. And my family STILL has the wooden desk on which YOUR family signed The Mayflower Compact.
And no, I don't think that you are more of an American than a Guatamalan who took the Oath last week
'They' are deeply distressed at THE AMNESTY quietly being cooked up by the White House and being touted by our Ambassador to Mexico.
That Guatamalan went through the LEGAL process and is entitled to ALL the Priveleges and Immunities the rest of our citizenry enjoy.

I'm far less worried about legal process than with why an immigrant wants to be here.
This is the United States, after all, and ignoring laws that we don't want to be bothered with has long been part of our tradition - particularly federal laws.
My great-grandfather was an illegal - he came here because he wanted to build a life in a free society.
I have far less problem with illegal immigrants who are here to do the same, than with the legals who are here to fund political movements back home.

I stand corrected. Wasn't counting Truman, seeing him as just a continuation of FDR, but I did forget Kennedy. I should have said, the only dems elected since JFK!

IMHO the dems could benefit greatly if they had a young Zell Miller type candidate to run in '04 (they don't). They should also publicly denounce the corrupt klintonisn that has stained their party. (they won't)
