adding this @ like this !@#$%^&*()_+ does this, it alerts the software to the fact that this is html, a link, a hyper text link, even though it's a bust (not intended)

Well, I've been a lurker for quite some time. And ALWAYS appreciated your beautiful pictures! How do you get these pictures? Are you a photographer?

I appreciate all the work you do Rintense. Please don't ever end this thread!

Nederland is between Port Neches and Beaumont. The Rainbow Bridge connects Port Arthur to Bridge City. It is about 10-15 miles from here. You are right on the money.

Yes rintense, even when you're 105 and need five magnifying glasses just to read the normal print, you must still continue the Dose. We don't know what we'd do without you. Thank you for a job well done.

The butcher of baghdad actually has a couple of options open to him.

Relent and open his country to completely thorough UN inspections, turning over any weapons of mass destruction, and he remains in power. Flee into exile, and he remains alive for the foreseeable future with some if not most of his plundered wealth intact. Or, play games and GO DOWN HARD !

Pride and machismo will certainly be in play when it comes to this numbskull making a decision.

Saddam has really "misunderestimated" our prez. He means business, and he will not relent until justice has been served. "Attention. Attention. Now serving Iraq. You're about to get your ass kicked by a BUSH!"

I am not the official welcoming party, but if no one has greeted you a warm hello, allow me to be the first. Welcome to the dose. Hi, I'm a Bush buck. I always think of the stereotypical alcoholics anonymous meeting portrayed in multitudes of films, whenever I start out like that. This website IS addictive and this daily thread TAKES OVER YOUR LIFE !

Take me for example: I've been on since 5:00 this afternoon. Although the new thread wasn't posted yet, I looked at previous ones until the new pics were up. It is now twenty to eleven and I'm stilling typing with no hope for bed in the near future. Addicting, I think yes.

Now the memories are rolling in.

We used to go crabbing on the Sabine (I think) where it flowed into the gulf. Not on the gulf per se, but back upstream a bit. Basically an estuary. Saw the biggest damn gar fish I ever seen in my life. A local fisherman had a rope for fishing line, and a treble hook that looked like an anchor for a boat. It was homemade. hooks were about 6-8" long. He had wired fatback onto the hook. He slung it into the water and tied it onto a tree stump. I was thinking what was he fishing for ?

Shortly, a big alligator gar about 10' long, was swimming on the surface of the water doing these slow spiral curve movements. We never saw whether the fisherman landed this thing or not, but it made a believer out of me. The girth was the size of a basketball.

I ate some locally prepared gar brought to work by a Cajun electrician. Delicious.

Down on Padre Island I saw a person using the same technique fishing for shark. That night a crowd gathered near the pier. This fisherman had landed a huge shark, easily 14' long. The scary thing is, we would swim in the water off shore (where it seemed like it took forever to drop off and get deeper) where this beast could have easily been lurking.

You are a keeper ! It's a good thing we are young. We can go on little sleep. OK- I'm starting to get where lack of sleep does get to me. I'm young (45) LOL, but not as young as you. LOL

It doesn't matter what the number says about how young or old you are, it's your how young at heart you are that's important. Did that make sense or am I really tired?

I have nodded off in front of my computer, and yes, it was dialed in right here. I chicken peck type. It takes forever, so in addition to that time consuming technique, I find myself proof reading everything. It takes about twice as long that way.

Truth is, I dropped out of high school my freshman year, more like I got kicked out for ditching classes too much. Anyway, I use the e-mail and forum situations for practice. I read a lot, so it's not like I haven't received an education. It just wasn't a traditional one. I went out on the street at 15. Educated yes, just a little different classroom environment. LOL.

Very funny. This is that cop's website isn't it ? I'll visit this site and get a very stern and impolite phone call tomorrow, won't I ?

OK, I fell for it...the darnest thing is, when you click the animation list button, it links back here. Clever, very clever.

Well hey, you get your education any way you can. And kudos for you for self-educating yourself. I can tell from your comments that you have taught yourself well.

NO! That's just a web site I found tonight w/clip art. It's NOT the cop's site.

And what do you mean, it links back here????? Honest. I did NOT do anything. I'm not THAT bright. Heck, I'm pretty dim, actually.

Light's out, actually.
