What a hoot....
[And seriously - the lines are being reported as VERY short at their book signings. Maybe they should try free pizza or something.]

"Many of Mr. Gore's supporters were new to this, and had never even read a book before, let alone purchased one," said Gore's chief attorney, David Boyishness. "They had no experience with web sites, or reading material." He went on, "It's ridiculous to think that people like this would want to buy a book by Pat Buchanan. His book is the antithesis of everything that Mr. Gore's book stands for."
I think this says a lot about the intelligence of Al Gores supporters. They have never read a book, they have never used the Internet or reading material.
In other words Al Gores fans are illiterate idiots. Al Gores fans are unschooled fools who cant be expected to understand a book written by Pat Buchanan so dont bother to send it to them even if they ordered it.

I had to recheck the source. I thought this must be an article from the Onion! It's even funnier thoughg because it's true.

I assume this must be a spoof, since I just checked Amazon and the sales ranking of Algore's book is actually a very impressive #721.

Many of Mr. Gore's supporters were new to this, and had never even read a book before. They could have purchased the bound catbox liner Mr. Gore wrote and they still would never have read a BOOK.

If he'd just stop smoking and showing up for the book signings in drag...

Did it ever occur to you that Gore might write better than he talks? Some of us do you know. OK, maybe not Gore. But one must be open to the possibilities. Of course, Gore's book was probably ghost written. The combinations and permutations are endless here.

I note that "Bush at War" (quite favorable to the President) is at the top of Amazon's current bestseller list.
To: HHFi
Yeah, Tipper bought ten more copies this morning. 721 is respectable?

This is satire, blast it! The idea that the Dims want the courts to determine what the customers "meant to buy" (read meant to vote for) and then replace Buchanan with gore's scribblings is a not-so-subtle hint that something here is not entirely factual...
To: NonZeroSum
I checked out the Amazon page for the book and I dont see anything difficult in navigating the page to purchase the book. But then I am not one of Als Dim supporters who has never read a book before or been on line.
Great post.

Former Vice President Al Gore's new book, "Spirit of Family," has been out for over a week and a half, but it's selling poorly, despite an expensive campaign by Al and Tipper, and much free publicity from the media. A much more apt description would have been, "a blitzkrieg of free publicity from the media", IMO.
