Thanks for the report, very good. I am glad that you are doing better and you have inspired me to make another attempt to quit my 39 year smoking habit. God bless.

Could you post what lifestyle changes they recommended besides obviously quitting smoking?

Plaque comes from arterial inflamation.

Arterial inflamation comes from infection.

I had three infections... one fungus, two bacterial.

I wrote the prescriptions on a hunch and was completely asymptomatic after 8 days of treatment on first three antibiotics. However, further antibiotic adventures hit more bacteria I did not even know was there.

Your best chances of stopping a heart attack from occurring or coming back is broad spectrum antibiotics. The reports and documents on this are overwhelming.

I'm glad you came through OK. God was truly watching over you. I had similar pains on 11/7/02 but only needed a stent inserted into one of the veins. It only took about 45 minutes and I was home in four days. I had not been to a doc in over 10 years and knew I should have had a check-up long before, but we procrastinate. I'm glad you're back with us.

It’s good to see you posting. What an ordeal. But - Thank God. Thank God. Thank God!

You’re lucky to have such a good EMS team respond. They are to be congratulated.

I see from your home page that you live in Hillside, IL. I hope they transported you to Loyola. I was a Fireman/EMT on the York Center Fire Department a few years back. All the Paramedics agreed that if anything ever happen, to transport them nowhere but Loyola. Hearing that, I added my “Me too!”

It’s interesting that they gave you aspirin in addition to nitro. I keep a few aspirin in my brief case, more for such an emergency than for aches and pains.

It's a great relief to hear you survived. You remain in my prayers.

Thanks for the ping. Now that prayers have been answered, you owe us! Payback will be for you to get on your feet and stick out the years the Lord has given you back.

So glad you made it.

I have been trying to keep up with the thread by taking frequent breaks. Not working. I need to rest for a while.

Please keep this bumped and pinged until I can get back.

How on earth did I miss the prayer thread Mr Magoo? I didn't even know this had happened to you. Really, really glad you made it through.

If it's not too late, I'll add a few prayers for a speedy recovery.

We are so privileged to be a part of your prayer partners! There is nothing better that we can do for one another, and we are so very happy to hear the outcome.

Welcome to the former-smoker's club. We quit before having children many years ago. (BEFORE the research was known) We just knew in our hearts that it was not what we wanted in our babies' lives. We've never regretted it, and our daughters have thanked us!

May your healing be swift. God's blesings.

I can think of 18 or 19 things that ALL had to happen just as they did for you to be here now.

Actually, only One thing had to happen. God does wonders.

Thanks for the update, Mr. Magoo....God has blessed you, yet again. We often overlook these blessings until we come close to the end; then we ponder what our purpose in this world might be; there is a reason He has done so for you.....may you discover what His purpose is for you and may God continue to bless you and heal you completely.

What trauma to go through, at least you kept your sense of humor, one question....... how come they didn't spot a 95% clogged artery the first time around.

Stay well, and keep us posted.

To all who don't have the time or money to get a complete check up. Better think it over.

I didn't have any insurance either a few years ago so didn't go too often to Drs. I ended up with cervical cancer. Fortunately for me they caught it .I ended up having a total hysterectomy costing close to 12000.00. They set me up on a payment plan 75.00 a week!!! I have been doubling up the payments and have only one year to go... so don't worry about the cost they are really good at helping out financially So don't worry about the money just get well :)
