Had people come after me with knives and clubs, and maybe a few other things. Was a bartender and bouncer in a low caliber night club where people once rode motorcycles in through the door and around the pool tables. I carried a PPK in a shoulder holster. I was recruited out of a karate class to come in and run the place on weekends after the new owner took it back from the motorcycle gangs. The gangs kept trying to take it back. Those are the high spots. There's a lot I'd rather not talk about, but you get the idea.

He seems to be highly trained in the martial arts. He has the look of someone who knows what to do. I think he has a terrible high sissy voice, but I enjoyed the movie "Besieged." It was well done, not as cartoonish as most action movies. The casting was great.

I would imagine that the former can be as dangerous as the latter. One of our local karate (Yoshukai) instructors teaches in several satellite dojos in and around LA (Lower Alabama). He has mentioned that on a few occasions his classes have been interupted by good ol' boys (translated: rednecks) curious about the 'who's tougher' issue. After several attempts at dissuading them from the obvious, this 6th degree black belt settles the debate rather easily.

Even better than that is Japanese College Football (Kansai league). Kansei Gakuin Daigaku has been a slaughtering force on the field for the last few years. They beat the Japanese Professional champion Asahi by a few points last year with a stellar defense and excellent running plays. This year, they went against a traditionally weak college, Kinki Daigaku. Kinki held them off until the final quarter and was two points ahead until Kansei put the pigskin between the goalposts; 17-19 (i think). With only 2 seconds on the board left in the fourth quarter, the over-confident Kansei kicked a bobbling onside kick to Kinki, the ball dropped into the hands of a Kinki player, who then charged through Kansei's defenses and rushed 60 yards to a touchdown, sealing Kansei's fate as the creator of one of the most humiliating blunders in Kansai football history. What a freaking GAME! The next day my wife and I recieved a call from our landlord telling us to keep the noise down late at night. Hell, it was worth it.
