Yes, we all know that "evangelizers" go to a foreign country to spread the gospel for all that money they are going to make.If you merely wanted to spread the Gospel, you could do it by supporting the Churches that are already there. I never said it was about making money. I said it was about not recognizing other Christians as such and the actions of the "evangelizers" proves that is so.

The only ones making everything into a turf war is you evangelicals. When you can't spread normally, you come in with the big bucks and aim for the poor who are forced to listen if they want a bite to eat. As I've said before, when Orthodox help the poor we do not require them to listen to a lecture or go to our services, no strings attached...that's how it's supposed to be, charity not business....maybe you guys will figure that out one day, when the self righteousness fades.

Why? Why should we support churches with whom with have theological differences? Tell me honestly, is this what you would do? I sincerely doubt it. And that ladies and gentlemen is what it's all about, numbers and THEIR view, regardless of what it takes.

Just out of curiousity, now that you are trying to convert the converted, what have you done outside of Christian lands. We for example have missions throughout Africa and Asia working for first helping the poor and second converting those willing to listen, no strings attached. To bad you can't say the same, especially about the strings.

But most importantly, who are you to say that someone should not answer God's call?Oh, I see, you claim to speak FOR God. That certainly explains things.
More and more, the Russian people are pastoring their own churches. We have given support for just such a church. It is being pastored by Russians.
And, thanks to efforts such as listed in this article, the Russians will relearn that they are an Orthodox people and will return to their true church and these foreign intrigues will be left to the wayside. Lord, have mercy!

At a time when American judges insist that displaying the Ten Commandments on public property is illegal, the Russian parliament meets in a hall adorned with an image of St. George slaying the dragon. Now that's glorious.

"Oh that...that is the Catholic Church." Reminds me of the time when an evangelical minister told me that his mother was going to Russia to "evangelize them."
Granted, the commies had done a lot to destroy Orthodoxy but sheesh. The arrogance and ignorance is mind-boggling.

After the fall of atheist (Marxist) rule in Poland public schools have regular lessons of religion. If child/parents are not religious they can have ethics class instead. If one is not Catholic the school is obliged to bring the clergyman of a given denomination. If there are too few children of a specific type - the outside joint (with other schools) classes are organised. Excellent. Glad to hear it. Were you born in Poland?

Courses to enhance purely technical or technological proficiency should be reserved until after the student has a firm cultural and religious foundation. Hear, hear. Wisdom is superior to knowledge.

Let me rephrase that for you: your idea of the unconverted is anyone who doesn't accept the Gospel as you do...mine is quite a bit different.

Now which country were you speaking off, America or Russia? Your comment seemed to fit both.

You would think that with so much trouble in her Protestant backyard, she'd have better things to do than to attempt to steal other's sheep!

Yes, but it tastes so much better when someone else cooks it. Note, she's done absolutely nothing to try and disproof the BS talking/converting points they use...nothing...because she knows they are true accounts and they are lies.
