The site also has techniques for enhancing the Mattel QX3 Microscope. Yes, its a toy, but an amazing toy. I won't say what I would have given up for it as a kid.

That's cheesey! It stops at examining quarks! I know that we can do better than that! :-)

And to think, God did all this and more in six days and never even broke into a sweat.

Man, this makes you want to get on your knees and praise, glorify and worship He who bleed for us.

FANTASTIC!!

Reminds me how the smallest elements are vital to the big picture; and how I really need to rake the leaves this afternoon.

A colleague of mine is an inveterate model builder. He brings his best work to the office and displays it around his desk. All the models are mounted on wooden bases with brass plaques affixed. The plaques all say such things as:

B-58A HUSTLER SUPERSONIC BOMBER
1:112 SCALE

He'll talk your ear off about any of those models, too, especially about the difficulty of rendering the details in the small scale he prefers. It can be interesting, for the first two or three hours.

So, one fine day I went to a model shop and had a little something made up for him. He came to work the next day to find an extra wooden base on his desk. It got his attention at once, for he knew he hadn't left it there.

There was no model on the base, but there was a brass plaque. He peered closely to read it, and saw:

SPIRAL GALAXY
1:1 SCALE

It's still on his desk.
