More Campaign Finance Reform coming this way as soon as the dims get control of something. Hate Speech will be expanded to radio talk show hosts, the 60 day rule will apply to "conservative" commentators and rightthink will be the law of the land.

I think that the dems are starting a campaign to include talk radio in the existing Campaign Finance Reform law.

There is truth, then there is the ugly truth.

Tom Daschle's truth IS ugly and Rush simply called it - named it - and this is Tom's response.

What an appropriate response from a leader in the 'Party of the Lie'. . .

Guess Tom did more than a slow burn while Rush held his feet to the fire. . .

"Rush hasn't done more than ridicule Daschle."

It was more than ridicule; it was a brilliant and passionate and deserved analysis of Dachle's cheap, self-serving politics.

While the Media quotes Dachle's words today; his attack on Rush; I am hoping for some 'fair time' by Media quoting Rush. . .

Sadly, they will not do that. . .

Dachle continues to degrade the debate. . .and the Media will accomodate him.

Well, that what angers me the most! Oh, sorry Tom, I didn't mean anger....that would be right-wing hate, right? I mean, it troubles me.

Look, folks, this is just unadulterated hypocracy. All Tom's examples are right wing. However, numerous folks here have brought up multiple examples of hate and violence promoted by the left. The implication Daschle is making is that only conservatives are hateful, and getting as bad as the Taliban/Al Qeada. And that's simply not true.

If some on the right are guilty of this, then so are many on the left. So without mentioning the left at all, Daschle shows this is simply politics. And that ain't entertaining to me.

A political ad linking George W. Bush with chains dragged behind a truck isn't shrill, but Rush telling the truth is?

I wonder if Tom ever considers that it was his own obstructionist behavior that brought on the threats. Maybe he's the one that's responsible here...should he be banned?

"....drives an emotional movement in this country among some people who don't know the difference between entertainment and politics..."

Daschle just delivered an insulting slap in the face to everybody who disagrees with his and the Democrats' socialist agenda of big government and the destruction of the traditional American family. The guy is a sick animal.

And a liar. This stuff about "threats" is a smokescreen. Daschle is distressed about the "new media" (radio talk and the internet) because it is no longer so easy for Democrats to lie, and demagogue, and lie, and frighten the elderly, and then lie some more. That's what irritates Daschle. He longs for the good old days when all the political news was disseminated exclusively by the likes of scumbag liberals like Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Canadian socialist Peter Jennings, and the rest of that ilk who happily delivered the liberal spin every night at 6 o'clock to America's dinner-eating captive audiences. His and his party's most terrifying nightmare is truth and the truth is here to stay. Goodbye, Democrat Party as we knew it.

For those who would like to see the Daschle press conference in its entirety (about 50 minutes), it is currently scheduled to run on C-SPAN and C-SPAN 2.

C-SPAN 2:19 am ET (11:19 pm Pacific time)

C-SPAN2 11:44 pm ET (8:44 pm PT)

I'm going to tape it. I think that I heard one snippet in which Daschle said that the Dems had problems having their voters "legitimized."

I'll have to listen to see if I heard it right. I think he was saying that they had trouble getting illegals made legal so that they could vote.

The Daschle thinks conservatives think emotionally. LOL! As usual Mr. Motor Mouth has the truth exactly backwards. Like all liberals, he's the one who sounds shrill and angry and he is too blind to the truth to admit that conservatives have their facts cold. And since he can't articulate and outline a coherent response to conservative ideas, all he's left with is to smear them and engage in the politics of obstruction. There are no threats from Rush Limbaugh or any other conservative for that matter on record against The Daschle or any Democrat, unless one considers legitimate criticism or satire of them to constitute a threat. If that's what The Daschle thinks is wrong with this country, he and his fellow liberals are a threat to it. For our part, we will continue to make sure the illegitimate Senate Majority Leader and his ilk know of their name-calling and venting of unfounded rage against people who have done absolutely NOTHING to harm them, is dead wrong and has no place in our political debate.

It means that it's time for Barbra Streisand, Rob Reiner, Alec Baldwin, and the rest to shut up.

Who else is responsible for blurring the boundaries between entertainment and politics?

How about Mr. Baldwin's expressed desire to stone Henry Hyde? How about the Clinton thugs who harassed every witness against him? How about, "You'd better put some ice on that lip"? How about Gore's lurking over Bush and trying to stare him down in their debates? How about the DNC's ads indicating that Bush was complicit in the draging death of a black man in Texas? Hell, we are babes when it comes to inciting violence.

You Bet!!!
