We are perceived as Libertarians because most of us are libertarians, and Constitutionalists. And we aren't trying to convert people to the libertarianism or Constitutionalism. Rather, we are seeking people who already agree with us that the Constitution defines the proper limits of government as defense of the people against force and fraud. Those who do agree with us, we invite to join us in removing ourselves from the rest of the country's way.
If people in the other 49 states really want a nanny welfare state, I want them to have it. The same goes if the other 49 decide that they want to make every private action prohibited unless it is specifically allowed. I want them to have every bit of whatever they are asking for... so long as they leave me out of it. And I am moving to the Free State with my family as soon as we can get there so that I and the other loonies can try things our way for just once.
So those of you who really don't like libertarians should be our biggest supporters! We are encouraging one another to get out of your hair and let you run the rest of the country any way you want, without our "damaging" presence. You should be helping us recruit, for that matter. Get rid of all of us troublesome Liberty-lovers in one fell swoop!
