That's what they should have been reduced to post-9/11. Unfortunately, we still have plenty of soft-targets for them to choose from. And plenty of civil rights attorneys to make sure our Arab assailants have all the time they need to plan their destruction.
When we actually start paying attention, the words "internment camps" will be part of the daily lexicon. Until then, we'll remain vulnerable on more fronts than we can imagine.

Maybe...but then again maybe not. I feel an odd disquiet but I'm not afraid. I feel as though something's bound to happen, but I'm not about to let the possibility of another attack prevent me from living my life as I see fit. I take these threats seriously, but since I have no way of knowing exactly what the threat is, where we're threatened or what the timescale is, I choose to ignore them.
You're here, participating in this thread, reacting to their threats. You're not ignoring them. Trust me, I know plenty of people who ignore them. Being here automatically disqualifies you from that crowd.
But I know know what you mean. No sense in fearing the inevitable. I know one of these days, the news is going to come, our world will be turned on its ear, and we'll be called on to fight. Until then, I plan on enjoying life as we now know it to the fullest.
I'm here because of my addiction to FreeRepublic...if I weren't on this thread there's 5 or 10 others I'd be on....but I know what you mean. It's impossible for me to read that kind of garbage and not react in some way...thank God FreeRepublic gives me that opportunity, but in so far as I live my life away from this forum...I'm ignorong their threats.

And I believe everything Colin Powell says. I guess I'm supposed to move to 'mainstream' Christianity that doesn't offend and convert to Islam to win the war, huh? < /sarcasm>
Hey I wonder when these United States convert to Islam if they'll set up some of those nice leaders that kill anyone that doesn't believe in Mohammed like they do in Saudi Arabia (one of our 'allies' BTW)? You know the one with the 9 year old wife that killed to spread his false religion

The threat isn't WHAT is being said -- the threat is that something IS being said.
See my other post. The threat isn't the rhetoric, which is just a bunch of hot air. The threat is that there is this kind of publicly broadcast (thanks, Al Jazeera!) communications, which certainly must include an imbedded message to their cells. Unless NSA can break the code, we can't know what, where, or when they will do their evil, but we CAN know that they ARE planning on doing something, and probably relatively soon.
