"There are so many people praying for her, strangers even. ... It's not been
easy, but we're doing it. You just pray and pray."
I'm one of those strangers praying for Alice, and I have my husband praying, too, from his hotel room in Germany. Prayers are going up all over the world for you, dear Alice!

CRIME SPREE
One abduction suspect caught; other man runs
Kentucky police captured one suspect in the abduction of Alice Donovan after a brief gunfight with police and a jump into the icy Ohio River. Police say the other suspect eluded capture in an Ohio chase that hit 130 mph.
Yet Donovan's whereabouts remained a mystery Tuesday night, and the second suspect, Chadwick Fulks, 25, remained at large.
"We're latching onto any hope we can," Donovan's sister Judy Ezell said on the telephone from her home in Wiley, Colo. "Any little bit of good news is great."
The last the family heard from Donovan was a phone call to her daughter about two hours after she was abducted Thursday.
She didn't mention the kidnapping.
"She told her, 'I love you,'" Ezell said. "And that was pretty much it."
Police think the 44-year-old resident of rural Horry County was kidnapped by two Kentucky fugitives who are linked to several car thefts, burglaries and the abduction of a Kentucky man.
That's all since Nov. 4, when police say Fulks and Branden Basham, 21, broke out of the Hopkins County (Ky.) Detention Center using a rope fashioned out of prison bedsheets.
Basham's arrest Sunday night in Ashland, Ky., gave authorities hope of finding Donovan.
But there was a delay in linking his arrest to the multistate crime spree, because Basham gave police an alias, police said. He was not identified by fingerprints until late Monday night.
His capture came almost two hours after he tried to abduct two women and steal a car at an Ashland mall, according to police.
"He has been interviewed by authorities," said Kentucky State Trooper James Stephens, who would not say whether Basham told police about Donovan's location or condition.
At 10:30 p.m. Monday, a man identified as Fulks evaded police after a chase in Marion County, Ohio. Troopers said they did not see a second person in the car, but "there could be a victim in that vehicle," said Lt. Gary Lewis of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Police say the suspect was driving Donovan's stolen BMW, which was disguised with stolen West Virginia license plates.
The car was parked at a rest stop along U.S. 23 when state troopers making routine checks noticed the stolen plates.
When troopers approached, the driver sped south on U.S. 23, nearly hitting a trooper when he swerved around tire-deflating devices laid down by police.
Police scoured the streets near the rest stop Tuesday night. Lewis said there was a good chance the car Fulks was driving was damaged during the chase.
After hearing of Basham's arrest Monday night, local police agencies searched some areas in Horry County, according to Conway Police Chief Sam Hendrick. He would not say what information local police received, or where they searched.
"We got a lot of leads," Hendrick said.
Donovan's ATM card was used as far north as Raleigh, N.C., police said. Horry County police reviewed ATM tapes Friday, which showed an unidentified person using her card, according to police reports.
Authorities in Horry County and Brunswick County, N.C., said they continue to assist the FBI and Conway Police and referred all questions to Hendrick, who did not return phone calls Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said they hope Basham's use of an alias - and the delay it caused in linking the arrest to the investigation - won't hurt the search for Donovan.
"They didn't know who they had," said Stephens, the Kentucky State Police trooper.
The story has attracted national attention, with regular updates on CNN and Fox news. Rik Dickinson of Encore Productions in Myrtle Beach was hired to do a segment on Donovan's disappearance for "America's Most Wanted." That segment will air Saturday at 9 p.m., producer Mike Gower said.
Even as national media attention focused on Horry County, local authorities said the developments in Ohio and Kentucky could lead police to Donovan soon, wherever she is.
"We're working closely with all those jurisdictions," Hendrick said.
Police in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia remained on high alert Tuesday as descriptions of Fulks and the BMW circulated.
"They've been spotted everywhere," said Lt. Mark Neal of the West Virginia State Police. "If they come through here, we'll be waiting for them."
Thank you David Klepper!
Here's praying Alice is found today. I had just logged off ont one minute before they announced it and started to mop the floor!!
My computer is so slow that I took several minutes to get back onto FR. But I knew someone would hear it (you guys are so fast!) and wouldhave already posted by the time I got back on. LOL!
FOX reporting on it now...
He was trying to rob a bank. Arrested today in Indiana.
They were in jail on minor charges before this. Boy are these guys stooopid.
Moment of truth here. If she's alive and well, Fulks would be an idiot not to say where she is.
Alice is not with him. Please God, keep her safe.
Hang in there Alice....they're coming.
James Hawkins being interviewed again...repeating that they never threatened to hurt him.
Please Lord, we pray that is the case with Alice. And Lord, please have them lead LE to Alice and reunite her with her family TODAY.
Hawkins saying "heavy praying" helped him. Amen.
You're so right. "Spill the beans, now, jerko uh..Mr. Jerko.
Tell us where Alice is now...or we'll break something!"
According to FOX it was in Elkhart, IN. They are obviously now concentrating on Alice.
