Look, I don't think its his fault however, he better appear to be doing more about the economy.

Any suggestions?

He was in The Wizard of Oz. He got snippy with Dorothy, for picking apples off of his branches.

I should hope so! Surely, the country has lost ALL leave of its senses.

The article could be titled "41% of Americans are Brain Dead."

You are so right --add 10% might even be closer considering who runs this "poll"

Yep. Quinnipiac skews 3-5% liberal on every candidate preference poll and 10% on meaningless cultural issues, so split the difference -- 7.5%.

Good news for Bushbots, but it's not a time to get complacent. Poppa Bush saw better approval ratings and re-elect numbers, and went on to get defeated two years later.

If Iraq and the war on terror go off the radar by 2004 and the economy is in the dump, Bush could have a rough re-election fight.

I voted for Bush two years ago, but I'll be looking for a real conservative in '04. I'm tired of GOP lip service on social issues. They talk and talk ... and that's about it.

Except for a reference to "the mommy party" and "the daddy party," by Peggy Noonan, I have not seen any comment on what I think was a very big factor in the psychology of the recent election:

Many, perhaps most, voters had the question in their mind -
perhaps suppressed by some Dems, but there nonetheless - "My G-D! What kind of mess would this country be in after 9-11 if Al Gore (or any other Democrat for that matter) were in charge?" For many the question was also, "Why should I vote for a congressman/governor/etc that will work to elect such a person in the future?"

It can't have escaped notice, even by the wackos on "Democratic Underground" that if the Democrats had not lost the senate and house the other day Saddam would almost certainly not have accepted the Bush (the hell with
the pretense that it was the UN) ultimatum.

Gore is the most selfish loser I have ever seen. When I saw a newsclip of him campaigning for KKT, I thought he looked like a madman. So glad he does not have the codes and am even more thankful that he is not our president. He is really obessesed with his loss. How many times has he ran for Pres.? It's time for him to go.
