These people hated and mocked Moose from the very beginning. Because he is black, period. Nonsense. Anyone with a three digit IQ understands that Chief of Police is a job where excellent communication skills are a requirement. No white cop who speaks like a jibbering idiot with several horrendous but easily correctable speech impediments would ever even make it to lieutenant, much less Chief of Police.
You know it and I know it.

It's no laughing matter. If Iraq blows up in our face and our economy tanks, Hillery could be the next POTUS.

Please comment on my last reply to Howlin.

When you are the Chief of Police in Maryland after coming from Oregon, it's not called "dialect", it's called an uncorrected speech impediment, or just being an idiot.
To: Travis McGee
Hillary is no doubt eying Moose right now for FBI director in her administration. It's no laughing matter. If Iraq blows up in our face and our economy tanks, Hillery could be the next POTUS.
It struck me as funny. After all, these people are no leaders and are a joke.
If it ever does happen, well, maybe that's what it would take to wake some folks up in this country.

Moose did a good job with the cards he was dealt. He was not in charge of the investigation. Give the man a freakin break...I would love to see you guys be in charge...ROFL what a joke that would be.

This reminds me of a mandatory civil rights training session I once had to attend as a civil service employee.
There was a lot of truly objectionable material which they tried to force on us. Surprisingly there were a lot of people who didn't accept it. This was in Alabama and to the best of my knowledge no one suffered for their opinion.
There was one thing which many White employee's objected to that I simply didn't understand. A lot of people (mostly yankees) objected to Blacks walking the way they do or talking slang to each other. I grew up in the South and have always been around that and as far as I am concerned they have the right to talk or walk the way they want.
That isn't the same thing as public speaking using Ebonics tho.

Totally agree with this assessment.
The hero - truck driver - was and is also a Christian man who had been praying with fellow truck drivers for the capture of these muderers.

Attorney General Schumer Madre de Christo. If that wouldn't galvanize our side into action, I don't know what would.

I find it curious that Mr. Sperry waited till AFTER the snipers were caught to air his opinions.....safe in knowing that Moose and the Task Force had done their job. LOL
As to his biases, it seems that Moose didn't necessarily "lead" the task force so much as he was the spokeman.
As a native Washingtonian I know first hand that a county cop does not "lead" the Feds. There are just too many jurisdictions and policing authorities involved.....perhaps 10 or more.
Given this conglomeration of jurisdictions, it's a tribute to all of them that they were successful at all regardless of who the true "leaders" were (are?).
As to his diction.......yeah, he did have difficulty reading someone elses words. In an interview on FOX after the apprehension Mr. Moose was quite articulate albeit with the pronounciation miscues and seemed a most dedicated civil servant.
I can only imagine the pressure the man was under given that Mongromry county is replete with the wealthy and powerful of DC.
How about a little credit where credit is due?

Of the states, Virginia got the first trials, they have a death penalty, Maryland did not. Killers die quicker. Simple.
As to who ran thangs ... why *now* that doesn't matter -- what does matter is that some trademarked persona of Chief Moose is being made into an idol of sorts.
But during the hunt it did matter. And you don't know who ran the show. Admit it! Admit that you just don't know. It's a guess on your part -- a guess subject to all the shoot-from-the-hip reactionary bias and overly generalized prejudice the Howlin-Catspaw Axis of PC-ism can muster.
That Mooose either ran the whole show, major parts of the show, or had a major contribution seems clear. Why? Because we all know that Ashcroft is willing to turn thangs over to the states -- he just showed that. We also know -- because we haven't *ignored* these thangs -- that such reverse racism is part of the Moose MO. The pieces fit far better -- all the known pieces -- to a theory that Moose did indeed direct significant aspects of the hunt. That's my guess, and it's a better guess than yours. Better because it ain't made with the ignorance and bias of PC-ism, the blinders and prejudices, your guess is subject to.

These people hated and mocked Moose from the very beginning. Because he is black, period. I mocked Moose from the beginning because he is an incompetent boob. His empowerment poses a danger to the communities he is hired to protect - starting with Portland, Oregon, where he trampled on civil rights (white people have civil rights, too) and got a veteran police officer killed because of it. He is a politically correct appointee, not a man who catches bad guys. The snipers were eventually nabbed despite Moose's efforts to mislead the hunt. Too many people were murdered in the meantime. He is NOT a hero and never has been.

Moose ran the show.
You are wrong about how the feds take over an investigation.
When they take over they take over the whole thing - remember Ruby Ridge and Waco.
When they "assist" they are in the background and not in charge - local jurisdictions don't let them trample on their territories.
My late husband was a sheriff's deputy who worked with FBI agents on several crime spree cases, and the FBI was not an actual help in any of them.
