Early voting by Absentee Ballots is traditionally Republican. And Republicans will come to the polling places on Tuesday; Democrats won't. LULAC shoots itself in the foot again. No. Republicans bring boxing gloves to a gun fight with Dems. REpubs will not, or cannot, fight at the Dem's level of intensity.

It's fixed now. I would certainly hate for people to think that 100,000 absentee ballots had been thrown out, when that wasn't the case.
The case involved early voting, not absentee ballots, and I guarantee that this state isn't going to throw out 100,000 ballots.

Texas doesn't even have a designation for 'absentee' voting now. It'a all classified 'early' voting and can be done either in person or by mail......
This early voting thing is filling ol' Ross's desires for elections on weekends over multiple days.... Guess he finally got something he wanted to use "fixit' with

I wasn't aware of that. I thought voting with paper ballots by mail was still considered an absentee ballot. Thanks for the information.

You are right, it was my title. You don't suppose the media are going to tell it like it is, do you?
Further, if the ballots are illegal, what else to do but throw them out. While they may find some way to re-issue ballots at the polls, many of the absentees, especially those servicemen who call SAN ANTONIO home, will not be able to get to the polls. The advantage to Dems is that assuming the worst case (all ballots thrown out)they will lose far fewer ballots, so all in all it will be a net gain.

if the ballots are illegal, what else to do but throw them out. They had a technical defect. Unless there is a showing that it somehow affected the election results, they don't have to do anything.
