I don't give two sh&ts what's happening there usless there's some MIAs involved.
We projected that they would have voted commie if there had been a vote. Let em wallow in their own sh&t. It shouldn't have been our job to impose freedom on them. They wanted free of colonialism and they kicked the French out. What the hell did we think we would do?
All the things I listed before did more to destablilize us and them than the war did.
If you want to talk about today go ahead, but don't try to glorify the war we should have never fought.

I'm really tearing up with your tyrrany of 1 sermon.
There are fewer countries under communism than anytime since 1946. If you want something serious to worry about other than the poor little boy and some Viets, there are 1.6 billion commies in China and North Korea. Those countries have nuclear weapons and missiles that can reach the US.
If you need to feel the Viet Nam war was worthwhile and honorable, knock yourself out. You really can block out history if you try hard enough. Good night!

A major problem (perhaps the main problem) was that the NVA wanted to win much more than the ARVN. (The old you can lead a horse to water routine in action). Perhaps their morale would have been better had they been alongside us in North Vietnam kicking Commie ass.
